Annoying Skills
do theives not have stability? most classes need to run some stability i think. anytime one of these complaint threads come up where the easy solution is, ‘use stunbreak + stab’, its always by a theif
edit, so i looked real quick at theif skills/traits and didn’t see much stab. but theres lots of stunbreakers so i suppose you just going to ahve to have those + all those teleports to avoid death

Yeah we have no stability at all. Stun breaks are great, but if I want to stun a mesmer, why should I also have to use stab or a stun break if I don’t want to CC myself?
These aren’t necessarily things I can’t play around, just things that I find very annoying.
Use the headshot to bait out the trait. then proceed as normal

I do, but it either opens me up for a burst/further stuns, or makes me blow a stun break, which is why I said the counterplay is poor.
Headshot is a 1/4 sec daze. If I remember correctly, you will receive a 1/4 sec stun. Should not be game breaking.
If this is an issue, my suggestion is to not lead into the fight with bassy venom up. That way when you steal and get counter stunned, you can stealth up and have venom for a later strike with more stuns.
Another approach would be to headshot and then use blinding powder to conceal yourself.
It is 1s even if the one I would apply was 1/4s. Also, BV isn’t the issue. If you run SoH, Stealing in general is a problem. As for blinding to conceal yourself, Mirror isn’t a reflect or a projectile. It just happens and there’s nothing you can do about it.
Again, the topic is not about me not knowing how to deal with certain skills. I’m just sharing things I believe have annoying mechanics.

I get your gist. I was just saying 1 thief to another. The steal backstab with Bassy up works wonders except against this trait.
The blinding powder thing was just so while you are stunned you cannot be targeted.
If your going to point out “Mirror of Anguish”, you should also include on your list: “Reaper’s Protection” & “Eye for an Eye”.
You can also include “Rune of Nightmare”, “Rune of Grenth” and “Sigil of Ice”, since they all have similar functionality.
If you were thinking honestly. “What are some of the things you find obnoxious?” Reflect that back at your own profession. Daredevil, stealth backstab, run off to stealth heal, 100% stealth builds. There really isn’t a profession that epitomises the word obnoxious more.
Most annoying skill? Slick Shoes.
Already quit PvP. Just log in here and there to troll.

:D Actually I do really hate fighting other Thieves. Or more specifically mobility competition. Stealth is a pretty easy mechanic to handle, but in my opinion, constant decap and +1 pressure is the most annoying part of Thief. I love seeing stacks of slower professions on the enemy team.
There’s that too. Your in a good fight and the moment your health gets down a bit the thief is right behind you.
Stealth is annoying because you don’t know if they are coming back. Should I wait by the phone? They don’t call, they don’t write. You just never hear from them again. Jilted again
Blurred Frenzy, Tides Of Time, Sneak Gyro, True Shot, Gunflame, “Chilled To The Bone!”, Vault, Coalescence Of Ruin, Chaotic Release (because it obliterates my FPS), Eye For An Eye and Overload Air.
All the skills/traits/utility I find annoying/dislike/my computer dislikes or feel too powerful.
Champion: Phantom, Hunter, Legionnaire, Genius
WvW rank: Diamond Colonel | Maguuma
Precision strike: goes through walls, around the wall, ignores range limit, low CD, high dmg, no target required, goes through normal dodges (need dash to completely avoid it).
Any kind of revealed applied by engi and rev: binary crappy designed hardcounter on classes that didn’t need those spells.
Druid: Ancestral Grace – woohoo let’t give bunker/bruiser RTL on short CD while pet dishes out zerker dmg on you.
Mesmer: double moa, clones/phantasm running at 200+% speed.
Scrapper: whole hammer design, stupid, 0 common sense was involved when this weapon set was designed, just plain bias.
Generally abundance of passives and aoe on short CDs.
[Teef] guild :>

Cynz summed it up pretty well.
I want to add revenant staff 5, warriors gunflame and those traits who give passivly stability on dodge
And here I was thinking I was imagining things…. I was standing on close and got hit by a precision strike projectile from ramp up to mid on foefire. Its not much damage, so not really gamebreaking… but it IS pretty annoying to get chilled out of nowhere with nobody around….
I want to add pulsing stability… Ive been abusing this myself, corrupting it over and over with my terrormancer, but it cant really be working as intended…. I mean, I can fear some at least 4 times if they dont boon up before they use it. And if they drop out of it, I have my staff5 fear ready to interrupt the heal/block.
That HAS to be annoying.
The single most annoying thing in this game when playing ele is; Popping your air overload (which is also the only dmg we have atm). Get the aura from it only to have revs hit us proccing the stun on themselves proceeded by taunting us for 3 seconds.
Death to Eye for an Eye!

playing as necro? have the plague signet? cos it happens to me only with necro.
Nah, was as a mesmer. I find plague signet pretty annoying too, tbh… if your team “lets” you cap close on khylo and you want to run up the clocktower afterwards, you are guaranteed to get snared, feared, chilled until you are up…. no matter if you are in combat or not…
But meh, Im not complaining… it is one of the best utilities necro has. This little downside doesnt want me to change a thing ^^

This 100 times.
Can be argued to be the strongest skill in the game, but nothing comes close to “more annoying.” Moa may be the second most annoying, though.
clones/phantasm running at 200+% speed.
LMAO, I forgot about this one. I don’t so much find it annoying as I do hilarious. Any time I’m at a range from them and see their clones/phantasms running at me half the speed of light I just chuckle. It looks so ridiculous because no player can move even close to that speed.

Supersede illusions are fun no more outrunning
Traps are the most annoying, for 3 reasons:
1. easy cast to place damage and crowd control.
2. their damage can not be dodged (cancels your dodge reflexes).
3. their fields can not be seen (unlike necro fields).
Passive traits that trigger on getting CC’d.
That annoying cant dodge out stuff like DH longbow #5
Slick shoes, trallalalal walk around you, try to evade it! oeps hahahaha lalalal
