Hi Anet,

I appreciate you guys trying to balance this game, and all the nerfs are justified and needed, however I think you are missing the big picture.

It is haste that needed an across the board nerf. Make it half what it is today, and removeable as a boon. It is just stupidly OP.

Do that and almost all your issues are solved around PvP.

They can’t and won’t remove it. It is very deeply linked to those burst professions and their style of play. You just need to learn to play vs them.

I am not asking them to remove it, just reduce it. It is not just my opinion that it is too OP right now. It is not a L2P issue.

@Spicyhash exactly , haste is not the problem , certain abilities are and from what I see they keep on bringing the nerf hammer, thiefs atm are the nerf flavour of the season , mesmers got a nerf ( one nerf and the first ) and everyone is raging and crying get a grip folks mesmer still has alot of specs and still is the best 1v1.

play hard , go pro.

I agree with the OP and think that quickness promoted rollface playing without having to think.

Speccing in all out damage and try to burst someone with quickness.

Touching haste at all is counter productive to what JonathanSharp has stated to be the real issue. I agree wholeheartedly with him on the subject of glass cannons not being able to fulfill their original intended role. They should be able to kill even bunkers 1v1 in a battle of skill.

As it stands, right now on my guardian it takes 2 good people to kill me. Nothing can hope to kill me in a 1v1 in time under 30 seconds (well after my backup will arrive). 2 balanced builds will probably not kill it, and it can handle a godlike amount of bad players.

I think that’s a joke, and not intended. What’s the real counter to bunkers? more numbers? I don’t want the meta to degenerate into guardian stacking teams. I think some glass cannons (thief) can put out too much damage while others (ele) struggle to put out that much because their combo is difficult to land. Meanwhile bunkers are completely destroying the intended chain of Glass > Bunker. Bunker > Balanced. Balanced > Glass in 1v1s.

tl:dr Thieves need damage reduced. Bunkers need survivability drastically reduced

If anything needs its damage reduced it’s shattermesmers, not thieves. ~_~

Haste is fine, the only haste that needs to gtfo or get nerfhammered is Time Warp, which is completely broken.

Ya… the tpvp balanced around haste doesnt sound nearly as fun as tpvp balanced without it.

Whatever, at this point, your blog is either going to be a golden rainbow of insight and genius or im going to be mostly convinced guildwars prophecies was blind luck and now youre just sort of meh with a great art department.
