Hello fellow PvP’ers,

I got into PvP 4 months ago, I’m now around 600 matches in with my Guardian, Necro and Warrior. I was finally used to running Power Necro, GS/LB zerker and MediGuard/Altruistic Bunker. Finally knowing what types of builds I could kill, stalemate or had to run from. I always detested running or playing against condi builds, I’m more of a raw power kind of player.

This is where my Topic title comes into play. I’ve played around 20 matches since yesterday’s patch and almost everywhere I look in PvP I see condi builds. This is making my stomach itch with a burning hatred that will slowly consume my soul if this continues. Now I know that the damage has been increased across the board, surviving with a zerker warrior is now actually a big challenge with a big payoff if you can nuke someone down. This goes for everything and everyone I guess.

Now I believe there will be a couple of balance patches coming up, happens sometimes after such a huge gamechanging patch like yesterday.

I would hate it if condi builds are gonna become prominent in PvP’s meta, which definitely seems like it. It might actually keep me away from PvP. It’s just not my style of gameplay that I would like to be involved in.

Are my concerns about PvP fair, or will there continue to be a decent balance like pre-patch?

Condi builds? I see everywhere ‘you instantly die’ burst specs.

The funny thing is condition builds do so much condition damage that you instantly die to them. Shatter mesmers putting 20stacks of confusion and torment on you is nothing short of ridiculous.
