It seems with the latest patch (June 17) custom arenas award ~420 rank points for a win instead of 500.

It was only 1v1 if that makes any difference?

Is this happening to others as well??

Ok, I did some follow up testing today and found out that depending on how much an “even match” the game is seems to have an effect on the rank reward you get with the max being 500 (for custom of course).

If the match is a complete blowout, ex: 500 to 40, then the winning team will only get ~420 rank points instead of the 500. This varies I assume with the final score tally player scores etc…

I do not know the exact criteria or formula for this…. but I thought I would share my test.

If the match finished to fast you’ll get less rank pts, I believe that’s what happened in your example. A match could end 483-15 and the winning team will get 500 pts because of match duration.
