As with most MMOs the skill lies in applying game knowledge. Yes, while it is an utterly useless skill to have in any other context and is mostly non-transferable you will need to get over the fact that some people are better then you or at least are better at using their cheesy spec then you are at using yours.

If they match making is working and all the solo Qers are just mistaken then Anet simply need to show ppl`s mmrs . Bang all qqing will vanish. I expect the reason they don`t show everyone`s mmr is because either match making is flawed or mmr itself is flawed and they fear the truth.

As I hate to say it, you’re right(Sometimes it’s fun to see people whine cause you rekt them really hard, hidden rating ftw). Every other E-sport game have their mm/rating visible at all times for anybody to see.

- Stomping sometimes fails.
- Sometimes abilities won’t show up.
- All the thief and warrior mains are completely screwed over.

Skill level is the LEAST of Guild Wars 2 problems, the most anyone can do is show how many games they’ve played.

Lets not forget SoloQ is disgusting with premades.

Let’s just hope that 1st December patch will be good. That’s the first huge patch we’ll get in 2015, specifically for pvp

My post is lacking initial self-reflection regarding the pehonmenon? No, man. Because someone posts a huge wall of text taken from wikipedia/Dunnr-kruger-effect, doesn’t require me or anybody to reflect that upon us. I’m not suffering this, and I have no clue why you assume I have. It was and never will be a requirement to write about yourself on a forum, in order to post. I didn’t make this thread to talk about myself, lol. I don’t need to write more and I don’t need to write less, this thread is still getting attention from people who want to discuss. As Chaith already replied;

The biggest illusion of skill is winning fights in which you outnumber the enemies.

If you’re trying to measure the value of your rotations & actions, you’re only ever creating value by outnumbering the enemy if you get kills fast and are able to quickly impact other fights.

Rules to make live by in order to create value:

• If other options are present, refuse to enter a fight that involves outnumbering defensively built enemies.

• Especially don’t be that person to enter an existing 1v1 fight as a “+1” if your build is built defensively, unless it’s to switch with your teammate. The enemy will not die much faster, and your ability to soak damage isn’t being used when you’re outnumbering.

• Filter out of a fight as you get kills so situations where you’re outnumbering the enemies by more than one player will never happen.

Lots of players have never even been vaguely aware of the basic rules of rotating, the game doesn’t introduce them at all. So it’s not really a surprise to me that this Dunning–Kruger effect is especially common in GW2

Some people are more defensive than others, that’s those people don’t come in and reveal their username and talk bull. Is that hard to realize?
