Elite specs in PvP, with Tier List
You are new to GW2, at least, new enough to post a politically incorrect class tier list for reasons that’s already been said. It’s why you’re receiving heat from certain players, you’re inexperienced in the GW2 PvP Meta and it shows

Hey, thanks for the constructive reply!
These were just first day impressions. I guess I’d be playing my berserker, and running to a new point, and I felt like I got 1 shot before even starting combat against a DH.
The two classes I felt like “god” was definitely the dragon hunter and druid (with minstrel) It could be exactly what you said, people clumping up and running into all my traps.
I guess I’ve been in a stronghold streak, so I haven’t played conquest as much as I should have. Could be a reason for my bias on burst classes.
scrapper is definitely top tier. you (op) don’t seem to understand what actually wins games and that is holding points. being able to hold out against 2 or even 3 opponents for quite some while while still being able to score kills in 1v1 (and even 1v2) and team fights is a huge deal in a point capture game mode.
Hmmm. I don’t know why you think I wouldn’t understand that?
In rated battle grounds for WoW, it was the same exact thing. I consistently fought against the #1 team in the world, and was within the top 10 myself.
Albeit it was a 10v10 instead of a 5v5 setting, the game setting was balanced around 3v3 team death match (That’s where the most prestigious rewards came from and tournament money)
So while you had 1v2 skirmishes, against equal skill level opponents, you should NEVER be able to win a 1v2. Some classes may last longer or be able to CC chain someone, but generally the chances of winning the 1v2 was slim unless a large skill difference.
So I guess my question is then, what is the game PVP balanced around? The more and more I read the comments about this thread, it really seems to heavier reliant on 1v1s and 1v2s, bunkering versus actual team fights. I thought of playing the game mode more as, Have 1 tank, 1 support, 3 consistent dps. (Burst and bruiser mixed)
In MoBAs, you balance out the game based for champions and items that contribute to the laning phase, and then transitioning to team fights. So it’s easier to see where the balance changes make a difference, the early, mid or late game.
In WoW, balance changes happened with the idea of how can 3 classes be put together and their effectiveness in pure team fights. Admittedly allowing to leave the wizard cleave (2 casters + 1 healer) which lead to long running around in circle matches did make the game toxic in my opinion.
So what is GW2 balanced around? GW2 is very different as there is no character strength growth during a match, and at the same time it’s not pure teams fighting head on. It’s a capture the point game, so where is the targeted balanced?
Admittedly, I’ve personally never liked conquest. I have always been in favor of team death match, one full team against another team. I know during the beta Anet specifically stated that TDM would never become a competitive mode because they thought of it as boring and not fun to watch.

HGH keeps it loaded with damage and scrapper traits keep it very tanky.
So I tried this build out, it’s probably due to my lack of understanding how I should be playing scrapper, but I felt very immobile with this build. Other than one ability for swiftness, I didn’t have any “quick move over there” abilities. Like blink, shadowstep, or Greatsword Warriors.
It’s pretty clear here that this thread is full of different opinions in which class is too strong right now.
Different opinions lead to bigger discussions
But I think almost everyone I’ve talked to seem to agree berserkers still haven’t been figured out or they really need help.

Egun has a leap, & hammer 3 is three leaps. use those for mobilty. I prefer inventions over firearms for the 25% speed & sustain, but my 3kit build is pretty different from that one.

Oh yeah you’re right!
The acid bomb, backwards leap. Yeah I guess I used it more for kiting than the idea than anything.
Hammer 3 had a clunky feeling to it. Chasing with it felt awkward.
I’ll keep on trying stuff out. Thanks

Thanks for the tips and advice man! I can definitely see where the strength of the scrapper, but I guess it just doesn’t really sit right with me.
I want to take a look at tempest again to see what I can do on that class. Any recommended builds I should play?
