I have left gw2 half a year after the release.
Now i have returned and played for 2 weeks doing fractals spvp and world bosses.

Feedback:
1. Theres still no internal cooldown timers for traits in the UI. How am i supposed to know when my defy pain are ready to proc or i should use endure pain instead? have a timer in RL and press it every time it procs?
2. I am pleased with what became of retaliation i remember deathlogs of my theif with 100% dmg of retaliation from guardian and 0 any other damage. Now tank builds are just tanky not impenetrable.
3. Why there isnt more pvp amulets with different stats? for example i would like a power toughness precision amulet with 1200 power on it.
4. Warrior stuff.
4.1. Why does Whirling axe skill (axe offhand) deals less dmg than autoattack and provides no reflect or debuffs or buffs to compensate? Yes it has whirl finisher on it but in sPvP its very unreliable to count on others for combo fields for you in places you would want to make having offhand axe appealing instead of shield.

4.2 Crack shot trait is in the wrong spot in my opinion it competes with traits so good that you would never take crack shot instead of those.

4.3 Bulls charge became clunky i often (and i mean OFTEN) get in the wrong places after using it (i get behind opponent that i used it on outside my melee range) i think this wasnt the case when gw2 was released at least i dont remember it. Possibly becouse of my 150 ping.

4.4 Warrior ultimates. Theres still just 3 a buff signet and 2 awesome skills that are on really long cooldown too long for having fun with them.

PVE
5. After all this time class discrimination that began when i left has intensified my friend was kicked for being a ranger already when i joined dungeon partys with him. Most partys that i see in lfg for nonfractal dungeons require either to pay them or be a certain class in certain build.
Thats not what Arenanet has promised was the goal of building this game.

6. Theres not enough information on what to do in dungeons for example in an underwater fractal it says “reach the deep water” and theres fluoriscent plants on the ground and black smokes everywhere. I still dont understand what am i supposed to do there.

7. I did City of Arah explorable we have reached last boss and wiped twice there. I died both times trying to res some1 who was downed and then i got kicked by them. I find this community very toxic.

1. Options → wrench tab → UI section → check box “show skill recharge”

He means on traits with an ICD, not utilities.

I would even go this far and say, just remove those skills with passive procs (at least invuls and conditemoves). I usually use the normal skill timers to look after the icd, but sure i missjudge the cd sometimes.

I am also a returning player. I played several months on game start, than left for other MMO, occasionally coming back for few weeks every half of the year. Now, with HoT around the corner I have decided to give GW2 one more try.

I totally agree about classes discrimination – my main was ranger and I feel like being an outcast to most end-game aspects. Even with my mesmer and engineer I feel depressed with pve lfg stuff centered around meta-builds and how hard is to find a party and how easily you’re getting kicked.

Seems leveling is still the most entertaining part of this game. You know what to do, you can do it your way and have a lot of fun.

Have you tried joining a good guild? I personally never here anything from anybody in PvE. ( have alot of titles and AP points though) there are alot of guilds who will walk you threw dungeons/fractals/events and it doesnt matter what class you run. I can solo fractals and dungeons with my ele and warrior so when people in my guild want to do stuff they havent tried its no problem especially since we have TS. You cant let the few discourage you when the many dont worry about it.

Well of course friendly guild or just a group of friends solves problems that occours when you need to interact with others in a game. You can play Dota with friends and avoid most of the drama (if your friends are adequate persons of course).
Point is if a new unexperienced player comes to end game content he will face problems that i described.

It’s hard to tell which guild is good But you’re right, I should start looking for one.
