Gems in paid?
How and why would a forum moderator confirm or deny the contents of a patch.

In the upcoming patch, there will indeed be changes to paid tournaments, however the addition of gem rewards is not one of those changes. Stay tuned for more details.
then i really hope we get some sort of incentive for top players to actually compete… not that gems were even incentive but it helped.

^ As nice as that would be, I highly doubt it. Most of us already have all gear we can get from paids/our ranks anyway. So unless they are adding more skins, idk what they would be doing. But I say that to not hold youre breath. Held mine so long for this game of the sPvP side….and im done lol. And this is coming from a very loyal gw1 fan.

o gosh gems were one of the main reasons i liked to play paids. but now the only thing you get is stupid QP you can’t even use…

Wait they took out gems? So why exactly would I do paid tourneys if I cant get my wager back for winning?
All I know is that I am running out of tickets…
what about earning GOLD so? we can always trade gold→gems→tickets.
anet i don’t know if u are aware of this, but….teams need tickets to play.

..but there will still be daily tournaments , and they will feature …..gems+other things as rewards right?
I don’t actually need rewards to keep playing spvp.. but I think it would be nice if I could afford a quaggan backpack after a month of basically beta testing maps.. before rotation paid tournies start…

You pvp…you don’t deserve to have nice things.
^ this is basically the mindset of Arenanet in GW2 in terms of pvp. Or it at least seems that way. We dont have legendaries, no good rewards or anything to spend glory/tokens on. WE JUST FINALLY are able to use skins in pvp. They still haven’t fixed the fiery dragon sword bug. All the armor you can get in PvE in a coulpe days will take you at least 6 months to 2 years to get in pvp……I mean I hate to be mean but all I can say is it is all plain stupid. Us pvp’rs sometimes put more time into the game and get rewarded waaaayyy less

PvP is dead and will nevr become an e-sport. once the pve’rs get tired of pve the game will crumble.
