I have tested a lot of stuff myself and while I regard these points as “given anyway” for any kind of experienced players this method will not work on an old account. Anet has done something to give noobs an easier time in PvP and having a metabuild will automatically lead to this while facing othe noobs.

I was playing around with my 2nd account and thinking about exploiting this, but decided it’s just not worth it.

In fact any high DPS build with decent sustain will do the job with a new account.

He has a point there but the fact remains that if you do exactly this on a fresh account it will actually work.

not saying it won’t work. just saying that guy is claiming to be on a 73 game losing streak and about a minute later saying he has won 26

Sorry it doesn’t work. It isn’t’ going to prevent you from losing when your team plays conquest like it is edge of the mists. I’m totally fine losing to better players than me but when I can hold points 1v2 don’t lose 1v1 and my team is still getting steamrolled something is wrong. I have about a 40% win rate in emerald but it is nearly impossible to advance because I can’t get a decent team 3 times in a row.

I’ve tried going to unranked an I have the opposite result. We are basically spawn camping the other team after we get all 3 points. The matchmaking for soloque is awful!

Hello everyone, I’m a PvP player since 3 years and I’ve been reading a lot in the PvP forum recently while queueing and saw many people are struggling with huge losing streaks.

First you should read how the Match Making works to understand the losing spiral : your teammates are based on your Match Making Rating and League while your opponents are only based on your league. This can cause bad , average and good players to be matched against each other creating very onesided matchups.

It may seem like you can’t get out of the endless losing spiral if you started with a losing streak but trust me its possible :
But before reading this Guide you should honestly think about if it is your real skill level.
If you realy think your teams are dragging you down everygame this Guide is for you.

1. Do you run a strong build that can carry ? here are the three best builds to carry in my opinion
Power Shiro
Corruption Necromancer
Power Scrapper

2. Win every 1v1 and 1v2 it should be easy untill ruby if you run a good build if you are about to die because you rotated into an 1v2 against a counterclass try to kite them as long as possible your team will be in a 4v3 situation.

3. Try to be your enemys target by playing very aggresive your team will not have to worry about pressure if you are the main target .

4. Punish mistakes : Your enemy ran into 1v4 and died? Well you will win the next teamfight because you are 5v4 untill he is back, now you kill another enemy and your enemy will be 4v5 again in the next teamfight, try to kill them as soon as they run out of their base if you are winning the rest of the map.

You mean to tell me this game were anywhere near competitive?!?! Look the freaking results: 10 – 501, 85 – 504, 70 – 501, 501 – 22, 500 – 160, 500 – 178, 500 – 154, 58 – 500.

Is that ANYWHERE near competite games?! You can’t honestly claim you have such high skills, because its way beyond obvious the teams are not evenly matched.
So do me a favour and remove this kitten seeping with the arrogance of an obvious noob, who gets carried by rng and crap system.

1. Yea except I already play those 3 classes (I’ve mained all classes except war and I play the meta builds and watch pro streamers like phant for tips)

Made it to emerald right off several days ago, then went on an epic losing streak and now am only paired with “Combat Healer” title types. Yet go up against dragons and “Champion x” and such. Yea I know by itself that isn’t a full indication of skill but trust me here.

Even if you want to call me average my team mates are below average every time. And I can’t carry a match when teams aren’t fair, so its impossible to elevate my MMR.

I also dont bother losing to better players than me. As you said, the problem is when you can win a 1×1 or even hold a 1×2, but your team is so weak that the enemy kill them all and kitten you in a 1×3 fight. If anet doesn’t change the matchmaking in the next few days, the pvp season will be dead.

Just because I like research type things I’ll try this the coming week.

My matches so far have been up and down, landslide style. But I main thief, and you cannot solo carry a team as power thief all the time..

So I will pick up a guild mates old bugged account that has barely seen any playtime. And see if I can get my winstreaks there easy.

My question to you all is the following, do you want me to research this as thief main? Or swap to a carry class, engineer in my case, and do it that way?

As you said, the problem is when you can win a 1v1 or even hold a 1v2, but your team is so weak that the enemy kill them all and after that kitten you in a 1v3 fight.

You cant do nothing about it if you are unlucky and getting players lower skilled than the enemy or enemy have better comp. Im on losing streak again and feel my matches like a single player game where im fighting a big horde everytime 1v2 or 1v3 while some computer AI dies in seconds at mid and far split or far attack and wipe alone at start and they keep doing and hard trying what doesn’t work. and dont listen when i try to help them do logical movements.

I cant believe this thread is still active lol

party up with 4 people you know are good.
it’s the only way.
This system screw up solo queue, but cannot really screw up full pre because it has no room to put noobs.
