Well if your completely ok with “removing ones self from the equation” , then perhaps he should just uninstall and it will be the exact same effect correct? Because if your purpose is not to play the game the way it was designed then you simply should not be playing. This is a perfect example of what the designers did not intend to do with their ideas. Although funny to watch, this spec brings nothing to the table, other than comic relief in which I literally said in the video I posted. You might as well be a observing from afar rather than actually playing the game.

A nerf is different then redesign. A nerf is attempting to fix the game in order to create better balance overall. Redesign comes into play when a core mechanic “stealth being the example here” which was intended to fulfill a purpose by design, either fails to deliver said purpose, or adds something along with it’s design in which was not anticipated. A-net is fully aware of the problem and is getting tons of feedback by the community in the thread I posted above in an effort to redesign the very flawed mechanic known as stealth. “also keep in mind the thread posted above is on the gameplay of thievies, but stealth falls under the category of thieves which is why I linked the thread to you”. But in short if you think they will do nothing about it you are very unwise to believe so.

To keep stealth up 100% of the time a thief needs to time his c&d exactly 3.6 seconds far from eachother.
Stealth wears off after 4 seconds, c&d has a cast time of 0.5 seconds.
This way stealth wears off and 0.1 seconds later it is reactivated.
How to counter it ? Well first don’ t leave clones around or he is just going to use them as free stealth fodders. Second with knowledge which you obviously lack, you didn’ t even know that what he was doing is legit.
Anyway, once you aknowledge the time limit just dodge 3 seconds after the last c&d or simply spam a meele autoattack. That’ s how you deal with stealthy theives.
