Illustrious Exhausted Primordial Legendary Druid, and Mesmer for fun
PvE | PvP (1500)| WvW | Fractals | Dungeons
Please give us a PvP way to upgrade glorious armor in the mystic forge, to make it ascended, and then legendary using only PvP exclusive items and achievements. Mystic cores, claim tickets, shards of glory, Exclusive division cross thresholds, etc.
Also give us PvP infusions with agony resistance that are likewise attainable thorough PvP exclusive rewards.
PvP players are the most skilled in the game and have little to show for it… Not fair.

Some of them perhaps. Certainly not all of them! XD

ascalonian catacombs is harder than grinding your way to legendary on the FOTM profession

The majority are absolutely not.
We have to understand that the PvE turned PvP casuals in this game are actually struggling and not reaching past Ruby. Or they reached Diamond but it took the entire season to do so. Some reached Legendary the day before it ended!
Players must understand that there is no individual skill reference to be had in GW2. The efficiency of how players ranked up in a Division, up to Legendary, is the only “player skill” measurement we have. I just hope Anet betters that aspect.
Will there be any sort of soft-reset for MMR or should players that had big loss streaks at literally any point in season 3 just skip the trouble and not play from day one?

All and all I don’t really see myself playing anymore GW2 Ranked sPvP ever again. I’m just beyond jaded and alienated by the last few Seasons as a solo queuer. I’ve also found greener pastures for myself as a solo queuer so for ANet to pull me and my kind back to the game, they would have to pull what we would called in Eve Online a “Jesus Patch”.
After the hell with the carrot and the stick I went thru for Seasons 1-3 before I realized that I just don’t care enough to play and queue with these kids hoping against hope that this will be their chance to become ‘pro videogamers’ instead of getting a job, I’m not ever going to play ranked again. Unranked is fun enough, and not a crap show.
Well, if they do something like last season where where you left off determines a starting point, I might queue to get my Amber ticket and add to the 5 I have left just for the basic mini-llama, but I’m not really going to try in that one match, and then leave ranked forever.
Except I don’t even like the thought of that, so I might just spend those 5 I have left now on junk to remove the idea.
Yeah, I’ll stick to WvW and Unranked, where I actually enjoy it, win or lose.

I don’t understand your mindset. So, if someone is better than you they are hoping to be “pro videogamers”?

As (rightly) pointed out here many times, most people are not the ‘pro gamers’ skill level. But kitten if they won’t scream at me for ruining their dreams because I can’t support their 1v4 at mid.
Im not looking foward and i not even think i will play season 4 because of the macth making, i have all the possible achievments i could get , i have the wings also since season 2, no build templates, still need to wait in the hotm for the games, still bad balance , still no / resign option , so why should i be keen for season 4?

If you enjoy something that you lose, then you shouldn’t be playing with people who want a more competitive environment (right or wrong). So, you would be correct in staying and enjoying WvW and unranked.
I personally will play like 2 Weeks after start when you mostly can rush through the stages to grind some Transmog charges. Pvp sucks in gw now. No Balancing between classes. Had more fun without these HoT Elite Specialitations. Now you know what you play against. Guardian with traps that mostly oneshot you…cancer inflicting Necros, impossible to hit thieves and so on.
