Now that im thinking about it.. not even any new guides or sites have popped up lately.
Even the supposed esporters havent updated their blogs in weeks
Well, between questionable balance issues, non-existent matchmaking (lol premade vs pugs), and a complete and utter lack of communication, it’s understandable people aren’t taking it very seriously atm.
Aside from not having real pvp ladder or anything, I have found that I just simply don’t enjoy the basic pvp combat of the game, the idea of no more set roles is fun and all, but for me, it has not really worked out nicely.
I’ve tested all the classes and all of them seem fun on paper (skill calc), but once i’m in game it just is not what I was hoping for.

I felt the same way in beta. Played every profession in The Mists and sPvP, didn’t feel right.
When the game launched I decided maybe the problem was “skill shock”, that is sPvP just throws too many skills at you for a total beginner. Therefore I leveled an engineer to 80 through PvE and learned the fundamentals, and then adapted to sPvP easily.
This is one of the best games i have ever played, hell yea im still playing
Agreed, the PvP is fantastic, especially when you get 2 competitive tPvP teams against each other, and the customization is great. There are no cookie-cutter specs, and despite what those whining on the boards will complain about 24/7, it’s actually very balanced when you realize it’s objective based and not roflstomp based.
Needs to be tweaked in several areas but is off to a great start, and more and more people are starting to learn these classes people said were too weak and are doing great.
Easy to play doesn’t mean OP, it just means it’s a lot easier to play. I’ve been seeing some crazy good Ele’s and Necros lately. Maybe they figured out something the whiney ones weren’t willing to put the time in to learn.
People need to re-read what aydenunited just said.
I think people just stopped playing for a while or the initual BOOM just finished. Of course for some people its the game not working as they were expecting. But for a lot of sPvP players this game is the best on current market. The only remaining issue is we do not have matchmaking system and e-sport scene. Therefore some of the teams said its better to stop playing at all or they go to PVE and just wating for ladder and matchmaking to be implemented.
I believe thats the case..
