How to make a difference in Solo Q's
One should also mention that if one is not confident in ones ability to actually kill an enemy, simply build in such a way that you do not die. better to hold the point in a stalemate (thus getting points) then try to push a more experienced and more mechanically strong player away (very hard)
A few builds that is hard to take down:
Regen condi ranger (Sword Torch, Axe Dagger. Krait Runes) 20660
You rely heavily on regeneration boon, evasion and protection while chipping away at the enemy with conditions
Valkyrie Banner Regen Warrior (mace shield + hammer. Monk Runes) 00563
Very neat when playing on a random team. Use elite banner only for rezz, for other purposes use the Vitality + Toughness banner, place banner on a node that your allies are holding, it will give them regeneration and a slight boost to Toughness and Vitality.
Sentinels/Soldiers Hambow (Longbow, Hammer. Hoelbrak Runes) 00644
Normal hambow, nothing more to add really.
A great support build that almost cannot go wrong:
Cleric Staff Ele with Aquatic Benevolence (Staff. Monk Runes), 00266
This setup is brilliant for helping. With trait + runes you get +35% more healing to allies. This can be a gamechanger, while this build is not a strong duelist, it is not easy to take down. your water staff 3 heals massively, and just sitting in that field will further help carry you. You do not do a whole lot of damage, but when combined with your support, you can usually have a great impact a fight with your AOE and heals.
Iv`e used these builds quite a bit. These are not top level builds, but they will help you keep your team afloat in situations where they really need it.
