You can do 5v5 hotjoins, which are significantly better than 8v8. You can duo join tournaments until your MMR falls to a medium range where you face other pugs or newer teams. Or you can find three other people to queue with. So there’s three options available to you so you can play with your friend.
I don’t understand what issue arose that caused the problem? There’s never been a dedicated duo queue, and if you were duo-queuing before solo queue was implemented you were probably facing premades most times. What changed?

We dont enjoy hotjoins, i can give you 10000000000000000 reasons why the hot join is not good pvp. And I know that you know all of them.
I like spvp:
-when I go solo, perfect
-when I go with one friend… what happend? I MUST go group queue, where people play premade. But 2 people is not a premade
Before that machtmaking there was ONE queue where you could go with your friends. If you have bad luck you will fight against a premade, but not necesary and it was just sometimes. Now in group queue you always face premades.
It’s ok if people want to play in premade, but not everyone can do it. I think many people want to play with 1 or 2 friends. I’d like to have a queue for spvp where play with a friend or 2, just like before the new system enter or other games. And if premades want to play premades go on!!! but into another place, where everyone are premade.
I can’t play spvp with 1 or 2 friends is imposible now.
The thing i’m saying is not rare. wow and many mmrpgs have this system. Im not asking for a “due queue”, im not saying that.
If the only pvp that this game can give me is hot join is a big junk.
