Found the image how mmr works! Removed my text since it wasnt 100% correct. You can gain mmr points even if you lose, check the image below. Mmr isnt as easy as win/lose.
is that table still current? i thought that was S1

mmr and matchmaking are two different things.
That looks like 2015 leaderboard formula using ladder points, not the Glicko hidden MMR that’s like in the thousands range…

The MMR ratinggs I think he’s talking about is:
<Rating default="1500" min="100" max="5000" max-change="300" profession-ratio="0.25"/>Found the image how mmr works! Removed my text since it wasnt 100% correct. You can gain mmr points even if you lose, check the image below. Mmr isnt as easy as win/lose.

Hmm. So in S2 when everyone was crying about their tanked MMR because they were getting killed by better players, they’re MMR actually wasn’t being impacted because the system expected them to lose?

I think this was the table for pips in season 1
Alt accounts and start fresh?
Either play on a new account that has never pvp’d or pay an organized, experienced premade team to let you play with them and win every match by farming pugs ( gw2 pvp is great isnt it)

Hi Ellie, no, I don’t want free (or payed) wins. It seems I am where I belong (?), whatever that means. I just wanted to know what I should do to improve my MMR, whether there was some kind of mechanism. I know I’m improving a lot but I can’t see that improvement in any way.
Hi, well that was my point, there’s really no way to improve it unless you join an organized premade team that knows what they are doing. With low mmr you just keep getting put with the worst team mates in the game every match. It’s a vicious downward spiral that you can not escape alone. If you’re in a premade that knows what they are doing you can farm pugs and that raises your mmr, other than that I don’t think there’s any way. Which is why they should remove making teams based on mmr & separate solo players from team players, but I’m sure they won’t for whatever reason. But goodluck.

Thanks, I’ll be thinking about that. I guess that us solo queuers seem to be the third class passengers of The Titanic.
Yup exactly

Yea could be, my bad. If mmr is purely based on win/losses its rly broken.
