I don’t think any of the above ideas or responses to Celestial amulet really takes into account the fact with 3 traitlines maxed, Celestial will synergize even more with builds.

This might actually be good for build diversity.

The fact that you can currently take zerk ammy and still have 1500 toughness is the reason things like knights and cavalier are useless.

This should make make other amulets viable by giving you no other way to get the stats you need.

This is what I’ve been thinking lately too. The most valuable amulets in the new system will more than likely be determined by game mode now, and it’ll be easier to keep a clamp on extreme or do-it-all builds.

How? You lose base stats from everything, really cele users will become the real definition of “jack of all trades and master or none”, you won’t be holding point indefinitely and neither bursting people down with might stacking ( boon duration is gone)….you will fill a role until help come

Has Anet once stated boon duration is gone?

Go look at various class changes, it doesn’t take much to figure out that there will be strong condi and direct damage builds. Amplified Wrath on top of Medi lines with a celestial amulet = profit.

He’s right.

Celestial is advantageous to people who can get 3 things: Both Power & Condition damage attacks, and layered healing effects.

With people being able to master more roles, IE, technically everyone can get a Power, Condition, and Healing specialization, there are definitely going to be many builds that can make use of celestial better.

38-40 stats off isn’t anything special. Celestial nerf isn’t the end of the world.

Seems like a hasty and irrational Nerf on celestial. Celestial had to be buffed (by a smaller amount than its being nerfed) just to even get use. On top of the fact that only 3 classes can even use it now and that’s because of reasons beyond the base stats but how they have weapons that can double as either weapon type, effectively making full use of all stats at once, made more powerful from might stacking. (Warrior sword and Lb, ele many attacks, Engineer grenades and tool kit)

I get people hate the celestial meta, but this nerf does nothing but further delete balanced fighters all because a few specific builds are too strong at a basic level. Elementalist is already getting nerfed, warrior could still be looked at, and engineer freaking got everything it ever wanted baseline and buffed (thanks Grouch :P). Yet celestial was the issue? People need to find causes of issues not symptoms.

Supply crate will be able to be detonated, and the heal got its knockback baseline, when it didn’t need buffed. C’mon now, Mr. Five Gauge. You know as well as I do that this is a buff because you will be able to fully control it, MORE than you could before. Oh and you get an f5 now lol.

Okay so your heal. Let’s not pull hairs. Also, you really never know. Depends on how practical the alternatives end up. Granted Mortar might be great, wouldn’t doubt it.
