Is PvP skill time zone dependent?
If you play during Prime Time you will have more players and so you see a more diverse representation of player base skill.

I certainly understand that, it just seems the skill spread is very sharply and abruptly defined, looking more like a bar graph than a bell curve. Going on the substantiated assumption that prime time is 6-10pm for any given time zone and there are 5 major time zones in the Americas, and since I’m in the dead center of them being CST, I should be seeing large quantities of all skill levels from 3pm-11pm CST with a gradual taper at each end.
Filling 10 slots with people of the same ability is going to be a lot harder at low population times of the day.
keyboard turning auto attackers spamming “br? br? Alguien espanol? Br?” in team nonstop
LOL. QFT
Playing at low population time zones makes your 500:350 games turn into 500:35 games.
I once played between 10pm and 12am EST, and saw the absolute worst players I’ve ever seen in ranked. This was Legendary division… When I was progressing, there were better skilled players in Ruby. RUBY! Games were still blowouts, but at least players fought on point…
If you play during primetime, when the most players are on, you have the best chance of getting skilled players, but you also have the best chance of getting the poorest players. And that’s what kept happening to me. Games were still closer than in the mornings though. But most were still blowouts.

It’s a question of match making. If you play during prime time, the algorithm does a better job in finding you appropriate foes. That’s all.

That’s incorrect..at prime time the chances of your team sucking do increase
i’d guess that people playing during the day will be better,
the logic being that they aren’t in school/jobs so they will be able to spend all day playing,
people who only play at nights won’t be as hardcore.

Exactly.
Look at the global map. What countries are prime time for them when its midnight for you. Yeah its gunna be lower pop at night EST, but it all varies since everyone plays at diff times globally, but you do begin to see certain countries, that seem to be on at certain hours of the day. I’m in EST and often find in gw2 for some reason games are easier at night (9pm-4am). Yet in WoW (At the same time)its more diverse and harder with more east coast night owls online. It’s weird.

My worst matches are in OCX and SEA time zones.
