depends what you mean by “better”, for team support and sustain, guardians are differently better. but… warriors are DPS kings, and thats their 1 and only role, to kill. with high mobility and monstrous DPS. and cc to throw around all they need is a little bit more sustain to truly become competitive and maybe OP..
Not every single way. Just most of the important ones. Warriors have been slowly improving with each patch, but the big roadblock for them is their ability to sustain themselves in a long fight. They just don’t have the HP regen.
With the exception of bunkering knock backs, wars have far more hard CC in the form of stuns, knockdowns, snares and immobilizes.
I hate the guardian CC, in particular those walls that knock you down. Why? because I always get on cast on my face and its about 6-10 seconds of getting up and interrupted over and over with no escape other then stability.
To roughly quote Anet: “Removed unintended blast finisher from Evasive Arcana”
I was hoping for “Removed unintended knock down from Guardian walls and bubble shields.” but alas, I have lost my Clarinet. And although I keep searching, I have not found it yet.
Warriors took a bit of a hit after the haste nerf, haven’t really played much pvp since (you know, because of the Ele hate) so I couldn’t tell you.
Prior to that, I used to be able to defeat some guardians easily, but others had better damage and survivability to my warrior.
