Is it possible to get dragon rank? :o
not for me. lol
Yes. it is possible, but not feasible for many.

I guess it is called “Dragon Rank (Ascendant)” for a reason. Lol :P
It’s not impossible, so technically yes it is possible to reach rank 80. It will take long time to reach rank 80. By the time some of us do they might have changed it the reward system. I don’t mean lowering the amount of rank points, but maybe how we can achieve gear and such.

Ofc it’s possible, highest person is 70 I believe. Most people won’t get to it just because the requirement is so steep. I mean look how long it took in GW1, so I really don’t have a problem with only a few people reaching it.

Yeah, few people reaching is no problem at all.
Obtainable? Yes.
Worth it? Arguable.
With the amount of time/effort it takes to get rank 80, I’m not so sure I’d want people to know how much of my life I spent grinding SPvP.
Yes in couple months maybe even in 2 more months or less someone will get it. Key is to do only hotjoins. Zerg. Join the team the rank 60+ hotjoin hero is on because he knows what hes doing even if hes not the best at his profession, he knows how to get glory. And yes the highest is close to 70 I believe or is 70 I haven’t played in awhile last time I saw someone was rank 68 and that was a week or two ago. I see several rank 60+ in hotjoins, I’ve never seen a rank 60+ in tpvp.
Also be sure to note that titles like ascendant are obtainable faster via hotjoin than tpvp because tpvp glory reward doesn’t count, so it takes 49911 games of 300 glory avg a game (rank 60+ people right now always get 400+ total end game glory just so you know) while it would take 149735 games of winning all tpvp games with 100 glory a game avg which is about average but the extra 200 glory doesn’t count. And if you win 50% of those games it’d take the same amount of time as long you avg out 100glory.
And lets be real, in tpvp your not in it for the glory, your in it to win, that’s why some people hardly get any glory. You either hotjoin all your games and get ransacker at rank 39 or you can be the one who wins 50% of time at tpvp, not have played any hotjoins and get ransacker at rank 44, or you can be an invincible tpvp player never playing hotjoins and win all tpvp games and get ransacker at rank 49 its your choice.
Getting rank has never been easier than it is now, take advantage of the hotjoin glory while it lasts, as well as always being on the team with the rank 60 by seeing what team he joins and spamming the button to join his team. Its not random anymore, its glory farm now and theres always newbs to farm… ALWAYS newbs to farm in hotjoin high rank zerg servers.
See these images. One of them is tpvp, as you can see your not getting much glory towards a title like ransacker, you may get 100 glory and 200 glory may seem like its ranking up fast but hotjoins end quicker and start immediately when compared to tpvp. Just look at the difference here.
IMG 1, guy spend a game and got 125 points towards title. 200 glory tpvp win reward doesn’t count towards titles.
IMG 2, hotjoin hero got 400+ points towards a title. As you can also see other people are getting high amounts of glory as well, so its very easy to do.
I wouldn’t be surprised if that rank 67 guy is on leaderboard with 18 wins and 0 losses and is rank 9 on leaderboard and never plays tpvp again, because your not going to get off the leaderboards and you get glory faster hotjoin and titles faster via hotjoin, why do tpvp?? Its not like this game is esports where you actually have to be good at this game to earn something, all you have to do is simple stuff like zerg newbs all day in hotjoins to be somebody.

someone did the math on that, for an average player it will take about 19 years, so if i play about 2-3h a day every day i’ll be Dragon at the age of 53!!

So he’s halfway there.

I can rank up in 40s in 1-2 days if I wanted too (currently burnt the kitten out), I expect those crazy rank 60s hotjoin heroes made rank in 40s in under a day like 14-20 hours, which I expect they will make rank in 69-78 1 rank every 9 days and 79-80 1 rank every 14 days, so in about 109 days that guy that’s rank 69 or if hes 70 by now will be rank 80. So in 2-3 months is my expectation of a handful of people making it to 80.
The only hinderance I can see in the forseeable future is a nerf to hotjoin making it so you only get a limit like 200 or 100 glory per hotjoin game so it promote tournament play.
Right now there is a hinderance, you cant earn over some number in 400s in glory even if you get like 500 glory it will count as 400 something.
I really hope someone makes rank 80 before august 28th, but I highly doubt that will happen, you never know though!

A robot can do it, but normal human beings would suicide before reaching r80, due to hotjoin-overload.
