I mean how is it possible that a top 200 team go and face a team of 80-90% threshold players, people who are not even among the top 1000?

Please tell me on which formula your matchmaking is based, what’s the math behind it?

There must be a logical explanation…pls can one dev answer my question?

There are a ton of reasons why matchmaking is horrible. Really they have been covered a million times already. Not enough people play. The game doesn’t wait long enough to find the best opponent. The game grabs five players and makes a team and then matches it against five othe players who may or may not be very close at all to the first team in rating but are the best available within some time frame. To me the fix is a final randomization after 2 teams are selected to face off and possibly seperating people up to about rank 15-20 into there own solo q. It will never be perfect but is could sure be a hell of a lot better.

I play off peak hours and I do seriously think this can happen. I am glad I still get a some what timely match, but I have seen matches where all of us were rank 35-42 with one team having a mesmer at rank 9…guess who got squashed all match? I felt super bad for the guy, couldn’t hold a node, couldn’t capture a node, got dropped in under 10 seconds in team fights..poor fella just got ping ponged around the map all match…and just plain forget about them holding the treb and actually being fairly pin point with their shots. I hope the player went to spvp and got more hours under his mesmer belt before returning to soloQ or tpvp.

This makes me sad panda. 500-36…a close match is genuinely fun..getting pure facerolled ain’t so much.

Last night I played in a game where we won 500-0. The opposite team had 2 level 1s. One of them had a commander tag and, I kid you not, was keyboard turning spamming his dagger 1 (thief). I stood there on my warrior and ate his damage and typing, “tickle tickle”. I got to 20% health and then started fighting, I ended at 100% and him dead.

That’s not a testament to my skill, it’s a testament to …wtf is this guy doing matched with level 40+? Also, what is he doing with a commander tag?
