Did they reset the player mmr like they should have? Is pvp matchups now based on the hidden mmr or is it based on the position in divisions? Can i for example face unbalanced matchup on amber against legendary or diamond eventually? If so then this patch just added a new visual win/lose reward track that has nothing to do with how skilled you are personally.

No hate, just wanting a clarification.

They’ve ditched MMR for a while- they just match the first 10 people to queue at same time

Thats how it works.

“We strongly believe that regular balance updates are one of the key pillars of building a successful competitive game. As such, prior to each season, there will be a balance update. League play will generally begin about two weeks after a balance update to ensure that the metagame has stabilized in an appropriate manner. Balance will be closely monitored throughout the season with the goal of having solid balance going into the postseason tournaments.”
