I have a suggestion. Make pips available for purchase in the Black Lion trading post.

Just like keys, gliders, and boosters. One pip for your tier. 125 gems per. I would buy these in a minute.

That’s a terrible idea.

Its a great idea and I want it. To be able to finish a tier or a small portion of my season achievements.

While i can empathize, something like this makes everything in leagues pointless.

They are for sale in HotM. Anet might as well get in on the action.

pay to avoid grind is exactly the sort of thing anet wants in the gem shop. this would be a convenience item. great suggestion!

I think it would be interesting if after you hit legendary you can sell pips you earn past legendary, be a cool way to make some money for the good pvp players. That said people would get upset that people could just pay for what they had to work for. Honestly if u paid ur way to legendary because you couldnt get there on ur own ur going to have a miserable time in legendary when u get stomped on all the time.

Terrible idea and defeats the purpose.

Why not just take it to the next level and ask Anet for a gemstore items that will unlock absolutely everything for your account and then a “season pass” that will continue to unlock everything that is added after that?

I’m not asking for a season pass. I am asking for 1 pip. One small boost. Not the 40 pips it takes to get to the next tier. 1 pip. They could limit it to one purchase or one a week. But to be able to get the last pip you need and not beat your head against the wall for weeks on end. 1 pip.

I understand that it can be frustrating as I have gone back and forth on the same tier for weeks. Although I only play three matches a day. Just like everyone else, If I expect to make progress on getting past that tier, It will require me to put more effort/games to do so.

Being able to buy pips goes completely against the whole competitive league system. This isn’t a reward track. Imagine in a competition where someone could buy their progress. What if the Buccaneers could buy their wins during a season? Would it matter even if they could only do it once? It’s just one single win during an entire season…

He wants to do it from the comfort of his Credit Card. Why waste time and effort to actually sort of play a match?

Guild Wars 2 isn’t casual enough.
Rich people should be able to get Legend in sPvP!
Older people deserve simplified mechanics!
Less abilities so it’s easier to balance classes!
Allow botting!

For real though, this is probably the worst suggestion for sPvP I’ve seen on the forums.

It took me 60+ games to get out of tier 4 saphire.

I am now stuck in tier 5 with about 25+ games so far, and even I think this is terrible.

Can we have a pip to gold or pip to gem conversion too, so you can sell your excess pips?
