You kittens don’t even know what the prefix “meta” means.
Marginal condition damage? Correct me if I am wrong but don’t YOU brag about how much damage it does because of the might stacks. And didn’t YOU admit that this build was OP? OP=NEEDS A NERF… Plain and simple.
well, the troll has you on that one, OE.
/snicker
Also, I’ve been using the HGH trait for quite a while now with FT. Is this also OP?
That was months ago. What changed between now and then that made it OP? This is a genuine question, I haven’t been around.
There have been no buffs during the last 3 months if that is what you are wondering. Actually, last major patch nerfed elixir S and incendiary powder trait, and implimented some boon-hate traits and skills in other classes. (If you gear everything toward getting 20+ stacks of might there is nothing to do against a S/D thief but cry)
So its a little worse than 3 months ago. But it’s still a great build and it has gained popularity. That’s really all there was to it; people just became more aware of it.

ah ok, thanks. The ol’ 100 nades syndrome all over again. There will be crying followed by a nerf, I’m sure.

it was nerfed in the last patch. uptime on incendiary powder was drastically reduced, and the obvious Elixir S nerf. if you knew about the build as much as you claim to you’d know that.
in fact it’s been nerfed a little further for the time being since Sigil ofMinor Corruption is borked after the last patch.

I never said marginal condition damage. I said that might stacking runes do the most damage by a very slim margin and they don’t do the most condition damage.
I think that a-net made the exact changes that they needed to make to HGH and while it remains a very strong build, it’s not kittenedly over the top anymore as it was before. I admitted that it was OP because it did so much damage, yes, but now it does substantially less damage in a lot of scenarios and requires much more attention to stacking condis than before. If the skillcap wasn’t high enough before it’s near insane to play properly now.
Both the incendiary powder and elixir S changes were huge hits to HGH. I’ve seen more engis running random builds than might stacking HGH engis in the last two weeks, a HUGE change from the last patch.
No, it’s not overpowered anymore. It’s balanced as is and fits its very niche role well. It has literally zero support and substantially reduced 1v1 potential outside of supply crate. The damage is very, very high if the engi roams free, but it’s not over the top anymore because we can’t faceroll burning like we could before
Again, it’s strong, not overpowered. Just like thieves, eles, guards and mesmers.
LOL lets not ignore my thief/mesmer /warrior/engi/ AND my ele all might stacking builds….
rembr d/p thief? now imagine it with 3k power…. yes mine does :P
warrior- still has 12-18 might stacks at all times.
engi same as my thief around 10-25 stacks depending on combat status.

From my point of you it’s still a little over the top. The problem with hgh is that it replaced necros completely. Just because they have about the same condition dmg (achieved through burning), more mobility through swiftness and for sure more dps.
I don’t think necro is a bad class, but engineer (hgh) stole his place in terms of aoe-condition pressure.
This thread has turned into an absolute whine. People going on against might stacking being “OP” seem to be dissatisfied because their current build cannot defeat another specific build. But that’s generally how these games work, some builds are better against other types. Maybe before having a go at engi/mes/ele/theif/guard/necro/warrior?/ranger consider that your build is not suited to fight all types of opponents. Stop calling for nerfs to everyone else in the hope that your build will be able to walk over everything. Or maybe your current build just sucks. Do what the engi community does, get creative.
