Nerf All Classes I Don't Play
I agree, however..I played Dh mostly this season and struggled to find someone that could beat me, Has to be one of the easiest classes to play in this game.
This post makes to much sense in this forum…

I think between what we have and perfect balance exist plenty of room for improvement that is all too possible to achieve.

I guess my point was, there are rational complaints. Not everyone of them are purely egocentric. Some do make sense and deserve attention based on logic.
Beside, I do see a lot of the opposite too: " don’t nerf me, I enjoy my easy success". There is QQ for sure but also a lot of counter QQ too to oppose valid complaints regarding absurdly forgiving builds that sacrifice nothing to get what it gets.

Also A-net can u also nerf key combat mechanics such as ressing. Because I’m too lazy to cleave ad co-ordinate finishing my opponents? Also do me a favour and remove more amulets, killing build diversity even more.

Better yet remove all stats, just have armor and weapon damage and see which classes shine.

ANET plz have every class use the same skills, weapons and amulets.
I play all professions. Only some have broken builds that are so bad they should get an emergency nerf.
If your build is so horribly overpowered you can win matches by mashing the keyboard with your elbows, you have no excuse to say it’s ok.
Have you noticed how often there’s some weapon or character pr build that gets banned from competitions? This happens because players are better at noticing something broken than developers, since well, players play more than developers.
So the best way to get a broken build fixed is getting player input. But if you just take feedback from forums and the like, that won’t work. It’s only a small amount of people. You need a lot of people telling you “this works too well too often”.
How do you get that info faster? With a way to report ‘cheating/exploiting/broken build’. Then people will use this report a lot. Of course, that would be a huge waste of time if these reports had to be read by GMs. So instead, these report would simply automatically record builds. Create a distribution of the builds most reported for cheating, without taking support resources.
If a build gets reported way more often than any other, then it’s time to get that build fixed.
If someone reported a lot for cheating doesn’t have any of these broken builds, then it’s time to have a better look at the guy, they may be just really good players, or actual cheaters.
And everyone happy, except those with 0 skill that can only win with boring builds that work too well for the skill they require.
If you feel that way, have anet bring back celestial smulet

The problem is bias. You are never going to get the truth of the matter by letting the guy you can’t figure out how to dodge PoB tell you what needs a nerf.
I like where MithranArkanere.8957 is going with recording the builds of players. I would think you could develop an algorithm that takes game/player stats and looks for trends associated with certain builds. They key of course is identifying relevant data that aims you toward the goal of balance.
Any mathematicians care to take a stab at the number of possible build combinations per class?

Once you figure that out, you could set up a “bucket” for each build to store data into. I’m thinking there will be trillions of “buckets,” but i’d imagine that there will only be millions that get filled. Once the data is collected it can be used to identify OP builds based on objective data. It sounds like a kittened amount of data, but i would think that the vast majority of these buckets will end up empty. Good Luck

why such low goals?
Everything that every character ever does is recorded by the server. The only limitation to the data collection is your own imagination. This is called metrics, and it’s a industry standard.
It’s child play to find what class and build win the most and under what circumstances and MMR level. The data is already stored and merely has to be searched.
On another note you don’t want to consider every possible build independently. Changing a couple traits or a utility does not constitute a entirely different build. It would be more advantageous to look at trait line choices relative to amulet and weapon choices.
