Nerf or Buff is not what PVP needs
Correct me if i’m wrong but.. as the OP/thread suggest. Is toning down BOTH burst and bunkers, and to “bunker” something you need alot of control (such as Guardian’s knock-backs and chain stuns), so we would get that toned down too.
I don’t see why you guys are arguing.
He didn’t say tone down bunkers. He said tone down protection.
Protection is only needed because of burst classes. To keep you above the threshold of being globaled. If his wish came true and all burst classes in the game we’re nerfed to the ground, then there is no point to protection. It’s just a nice benefit. But nerfing something that has become irrelevant to the game is hardly a nerf.
Imagine if only one class in the game had a knockback. How relevant would stability be?
I’m in love with PvP in this game. The only changes that need to happen in my opinion are as follows.
Obviously some tweaking on the front end burst and heartseeker spam of theifs.
Some small tweaks to make un-killable builds unable to be possible. (Specifically Ele’s and Gardians)
Options expanded for some professions that seem a bit boxed in by mechanics (Warriors, Mesmers, Engineers)
tldr; I am a Mesmer and I would love to take advantage of a condition build using some utilities and stats that most Mesmers have agreed are largely ineffective. I am sure Warriors feel a little trapped by the need to be that “Stun-Burst-Kill” class. And Engineers seem like they are a bit forced to be an Area controller and a bomber or grenadier. These are just things that I have observed and would like to see addressed. By no means do I feel like any of the professions mentioned are broken, but this game has given me a taste of a PvP experience without cookie-cutter builds…… and dang it, i want more
