New Elite OPness Ranking
Still unsure what they expect out of Tempest, the overloads aren’t really interesting, warhorn isn’t good, traits are not as good as other lines, elite is rushed and barely functional, healing doesn’t cleanse condi, goes against the profession mechanic and the arcane line, animations are slow and clunky, skills are horizontal only (can’t target anything higher or lower than you), damage is low and there is no skill that has a spike damage above 2k… The list of problems goes on and on.
Herald, Chronomancer and Reaper are all incredibly(OP) strong. With Scrapper slightly below.
Druid is strong, but I wont judge it just yet.
Daredevil and Berserker are okeyish.
Tempest and Dragonhunter are meh.
How is it ok for some specs to effortlessly gain 25 stacks of might on their own (Scrapper, Reaper, with Herald sitting at 15…), but it’s somehow wrong for eles to gain from 8 to 15?
Some of these specs are just flat out(shameless) upgrades (Chronomancer anyone?).
The problem (and concern) wasn’t with Ele’s being able to solo stack 25 might, they’ve arguably been able to do that since the games launch, the problem was how well the survivability was combo’ing with the damage increase on the already insane damage the burns were doing.
I have a feeling Scrapper is going to be a build reminiscent of the Cele meta, where Shoutbows roamed supreme.
Duh! That’s obvious. All these specs have ridiculous sustain, mobility and durability. But hey it’s somehow right for some of them to achive such might stacks/damage potential, but not for eles it seems.
This thread hurts my head. IT IS A BETA. Everything is still being balanced.
The first beta weekend, you could literally auto attack and win against all the elite specs. They were absolutely too weak.
The second beta weekend, some of the elite specs were still weak compared to core specs while others were closer to balanced.
The third beta weekend, some of the elite specs are still too weak while others are a little too strong.
So, based on the three beta events together, we have only a few elite specs being slightly too strong for one weekend. Anet is trying to balance the elite specs and that process will result in some things being too weak and some being too strong until everything is tuned properly. Balance is going to take a while.
tempset
I assume you mean Tempest, but are you serious?
I would say that Elite spec is rock bottom atm.

It was placed at the bottom according to his list. But I think the op was just seeking advice if he should get the expansion.
EU Scrub
I wonder if the most common rankings on this thread will still apply tomorrow

If not, what do changes would you make based on class announcements so far

If ‘m understanding the question right that you asked at the end, to move daredevil up to somewhere in between where it is now and good tier, I’d roll Feline Grace or some other endurance regen into the Daredevil line and then just redesign Acro around shadowsteps and boon hate instead. Daredevil is way more cohesive than Acro and has similar traits that are better, so you might as well add in the endurance regen trait and give Acro its own identity (probably renaming it in the process).
i regret my purchase so much i am now entirely opposed to capitalism as a whole-tier
- Dragonhunter
- Daredevil
These are the only two specs I’m actually looking forward to T.T.
