I think people need to really hold off crying about this spirit heal. Reason being; I don’t think anyone except nubs will use it. Healing spring is way better solo and team play, and if you have finishers you can self combo in the water field. Water Spirit heals like 650 every 10 seconds? That’s terrible. The on USE is also pretty meh.

I agree..It may be weak….So why is Ranger getting a weak spirit heal?Why not something to improve power builds?
A signet heal with an active cond removal for example..
All Rangers need to move to more power builds is reliable active removal..the need of empathetic bond and now the need of spirits to bring support its overshadowing every other build that it may be more fun…

You know, every top Ranger, every Ranger that is a little above average hates spirits cause they are no fun…

We are bored with builds that can be put on autopilot, the skillfloor is too low…

In soloq against not skilled players literally i can eat souvlaki with bare hands and def homepoint at the same time…

^ I can’t answer that. I agree healing spirit wasn’t needed, if anything it’ll be a trap for new players who play spirits because they’ll think it’s the go-to heal, but regardless. I’m not sure why they don’t do more to help power. I can only explain how things they do are either bad or good for the game, but why they do them is beyond me x.X

10 sec interval is spirit rebuff duration if in range
Buff has 35% chance to heal you every hit you do as long as you have the buff on you(wich is reaplied every 10 seconds)
Traited the spirit will have 70% chance to heal on every hit.Yes all spirit rangers have spirits traited for 70%.

I’d test stuff yourself before assuming that the whole rest of the world is wrong. Seriously, just go make a Ranger real quick, cast some spirits, attack a golem, and watch what happens to your buff bar. Oops.

Yeah, the guardian heal is … OP as the rest… 20% of your dmg… if this triggers on 5 targets as well… Full hp for the duration i suppose? working as intended?
So we are happy now if we see spirit rangers? just reroll meditation guard and farm them?

If you can hit 5 targets.

5 targets can also hit you.

Exactly… I even knew this and went to retest it. My findings is exactly that, its a 1 time thing and it’ll trigger once once every 10 seconds, HOWEVER there’s currently a bug it seems that will cause the fire one to trigger twice in a row, but still 10 seconds between each time that happens.

Ok, so aftermath of the twitch preview.

Mesmer heal will be too strong on PU mesmers, just too strong, they will be unkillable. They don’t show up much on tpvp but some of us like to roam wvw and we get them every now and then, and 300 hps passively is just too much.

Ele heal seemed a little bad but karl probably had some rushed up spec on so it was hard to judge the healing based on damage. Seems more of a pve heal with that blast finisher. The arcane wave change tho, it it is still instant damage with no travel time, its broken…

The engineer heal… There’s not much to say. Bunker engineers everywhere, 12k heal? really? Even with the 45 second cd…

The necro heal might not be as bad as I was thinking. The concept is really good, maybe power/well necros will be a thing now? The meta could use something that actually requires coordination and attention to your surroundings for once…

Guadian heal also sounds good, high risk-high reward, miss it = you’re dead.

I couldnt see if warriors got any animation with their heal or if we’ll have to look at buff bar to spot the heal. In case there’s an animation its a good heal, if there’s no animation and we have to look at the buff bar, it’s bad. I don’t want to have to look through the “You got a capture point!” announcer spam. Either way, it would be a far more enjoyable fight if warriors used this over healing signet.

The spirit heal looks bad, and i hope it is bad, for obvious reasons…

Venom heal is a good team fight/coordination concept. But it won’t be enough to make venomshare a thing. Also that cd is too much…

Overall not as bad as I was expecting and I’m kind of relieved. Hope this takes the game to a better state. Only the engie heal and the mesmer one seemed like too much to me.

PS: I have a suggestion to reduce the clutter caused by spirit rangers (I can’t post on forums anymore, so if anyone likes it and wants to make a suggestion thread, go for it, I’d do it myself if I could).
What if the spirits, instead of summoning another npc, gave a buff to the ranger’s pet (ex: Wolf), and all the spirit buffs were applied to that pet? Then the actives caused that pet to do the standard animations.

I guess I shouldn’t have been worried about them adding anything too strong to ele. This is ANet after all. If it wasn’t terrible, it would have a 90 second cooldown.
