From this weekend the GW2-PvP Community website is in open beta and everybody can register!

You can simply find the Website at http://www.gw2-pvp.com

About the Website

On the gw2-pvp website we host community tournaments & ladders for all types of games. We will start of with various 1v1 tournaments and in the near future the first Guild vs Guild tournaments will be hosted. And anyone who has a great idea or is currently already hosting their own community tournament is more then welcome to host them trough our website or simply promote it.

But beside these awesome community tournaments this is also a place for everybody in the Gw2 community to talk about everything Guild Wars 2 related. Want to discuss current builds and the meta, there is a place for that! Want to discuss all the official Guild wars 2/ESL tournaments and discuss the epic games? We got you covered!

If you have just joined or came back to Guild Wars 2 and are looking for a new team or guild be sure to check out our recruitment section. And if you always wanted to be more competitive in Guild wars 2 yourself you can find your team here, or even start creating your own!

Note this website is not here to compete with ESL or other tournament website, but more to create a central place to discuss them all.

About the BETA

The official beta will run until Hearth of Thorns launches, during this beta there is an 24/7 ladder available for 1v1 matches and 1 tournament to be hosted this Wednesday the 21st of October. You can also sign up for the weekly Mystic Builds trough this website, on Tuesday the 20th it will be for Elemantalists and on Thursday the 22nd it will be Guardians turn.

There will be incentive to visit the website and help with the testing during this period! The Mystic builds tournaments always have a 18 gold prize pool, but for this week if the winner signed up trough my website he will receive 5 bonus gold. Plus if you win you have a chance of 800 bonus trough the monthly final! For the BETA testing of our Profession draft ladder/tournament that only runs this week there is an total prize-pool of 150 gold and 800 gems!

But not only will there be prizes for people who want to compete in the tournaments, also for people who simply click trough the website and give constructive feedback there is gold to be earned. Simply open up a constructive thread in the feedback & suggestion forum and you will be entered in the give-away of 50 gold.

For the people who are just as excited about us regarding this website you might be interested in joining our team, there is a post with all the open position paid & unpaid on the forums. And a direct link to the application form in the navigation bar.

After the beta week we will work to improve our systems for future tournaments & prizes but the forum will likely stay on-line for more feedback, however if you want to make sure you don’t miss our launch follow us on Twitter or like our Facebook page!

If you have any questions regarding the website or just give feedback(which is truly appreciated!) you can contact me ingame on Firestorm.7328 or trough Skype ReMarkable_91.

Great idea! Kind of like a feeder league for the new pro setup just recently announced. And you even have paying positions? Very swank.

My only suggestion to you is to consider making “writer” a paid position. You’d be surprised at two factors when it comes to writing:

1) How little a decent writer will ask to be paid, and;

2) How big the difference is between a pro writer and an amateur.

…and if that’s the only suggestion I can think of, you’re probably doing something right. Looking forward to seeing this develop! -Sid

Thank you for your feedback, maybe I didn’t word it correctly in the post but just because I didn’t name them after “such as web developers and designers” doesn’t say they are by default unpaid.

As you can see I was doubting about my wording in my post, this is because English isn’t my native language. Even though I now live in UK but that aside. It is important that everything on the website is worded correctly so you are correct a writer is important for web design. But also in the future, we can’t only post news articles from other sources.

There is another thing I would like to clear up, it not truly a feeder league for the ESL leagues which are 5v5 by default. But more so alternatives such as 1v1 and 8v8 or even 20 v 20. There is potential to also host 5v5 but I believe that “market” is satisfied with tournaments such as Academy gaming and PugQuest. Creating a tournament that does exactly that is more like competing with them, the point of the website is to also help those tournaments.
