Guild Wars 2

I play GW2 mainly for the SPvP and rarely leave the Mists on most of my characters, yet when I log into the game they are displayed with their main world / PvE gear in the Character Selection screen.

Wouldn’t it be a great idea to have the option to display the PvP gear we identify our characters with?

There was a thread about this some two months ago, but I figured it might be interesting to see the replies now people have had more time to gear their characters.

Explaining this to people that don’t play the game: “OH well you see my character really doesn’t look like this.. because I mostly play in this separate area.. uh * observes puzzled look on friend’s face * so yeah.”

I don’t think this is a priority but it would be nice to see high rank tourney/gear as opposed to level 2 gear I see every time I log.

Why force players to assume a different appearance in SPVP anyhow? Just let characters carry their Preferred appearance with them, wherever they go.

PVE gear could default to SPVP stats in he mists.

The skin styles cross over so you can granted you take the time with rng and rank grinding.

This has been suggested many many times now. I’m pretty sure this will get some attention after they polish some more important things. Many PVP-only players wanted this feature implemented. – a function to toggle PVE gear, PVP gear, heck even Town Clothes in the Character Selection Window.

Let’s just all be patient.

Has there ever been any dev support for this feature? I know it’s a minor cosmetic/quality of life issue but it would be really nice not to see my mismatched PvE gear on Character Select

I think its so easy to make, but they have others prioritys to make first. Like fix the spvp and bring back pvp players.

please please please please :O this would be a really good change.. I hate looking at my level 3 mesmer as I log in :/

We have been asking for this 7 months. Anet does not care about sPvP or it’s players. I don’t believe this will ever happen.

Thanks a lot Evan! I honestly think all these small little things do help (although there’s still quite a lot of them!) to get sPvP where everyone involved wants it to be.

You could even have it to display the armour from your current location display.

Log out in HOTM? Display PvP Gear.
Log out in town gear? Display town gear.
Log out in PvE gear? Display PvE gear.
