I wouldn’t like to see any buff on Ranger. Being farmed from extreme range while being harassed by attack drones isn’t fun. Rangers also have pretty rapid stealth, a speed signet and strong CC.

Well do I remember the rangers laughing in map chat as they insta killed my Mesmer with point blank shot > pet cc > machine gun bow and shouted “l2p.”

No, I’d oppose buffs of any kind to Ranger unless it came with a healthy nerf to the longbow and a reduction in range.

And you have plenty of tools to deal with it.That is “l2p” for sure

Never thought I’d find myself agreeing with Darkness…..
I would love to see an argument between the 2 of you, worst mesmer in the game vs worse ranger that supposedly quit the game (and yet is still always here posting). Who can qq the hardest, go!

What we are asking for isnt dmg but team support that makes us more viable in pve and pvp not just 1v1 fights but 5v5 and so on

I actually really think traps should be throwable again. Condi ranger was already so much a close range combat style. Now that they can’t throw them Anets forcing condi ranger into melee range to literally do anything.

… I still want tengu.

Play around with Beast Mastery some Taunts can be scary good. I have a build I can post if you’d like. Also Nature Magic looks pretty nice but I’m still not as familiar with all the Ranger traits. Necro main :P

Interrupts/daze/poison and bring back preparations.

They already did.

They sort of did. The radius is not as large as pre 6/23/2015 with the old trait. This causes problems with it’s viability. This is a difficult subject to discuss as to “why” it causes problems with viability but here are a few reasons:

  • No longer large enough to ensure retaliation DPS lands after rolling in to a Lich, Shroud, DPS Engi, any other projectile spec ect.. ect..
  • No longer large enough to ensure many Sharpened Edge crit procs for bleed while spinning in the middle of a team fight. This also reduces it’s ability to easily interact with combo fields. Being forced to select between Sharpened Edges or Trapper’s Expertise also causes a problem with condi builds in general.
  • No longer large enough to protect downed allies from projectile cleave in a practical manner. It’s big enough to do it… but any slight mistake in how you stand will still allow projectiles to hit. Before 6/23/2015, you could defend two downed allies easily and just punish projectile cleavers for trying. Lots of DPS came off the retal + the Sharpened Edge crit bleed procs. Even more if you spin in a burn field!

There is nothing wrong with off-hand axe #4 or even axe main-hand. It all still does exactly what it needs to do. The problem is the axe #5 radius. It just needs to be slightly larger than it is now.

Can’t believe I forgot to add this:

When you stow a pet it does not come back out until you unstow the pet.

This would GREATLY help Rangers in PvE, SPvP, WvW, game wide.

-For rangers:
-Skill that would enable pet control to pass to another team player (this would enable for example a bunker guardian to duo with dps or high defense pets on point) ( would also enable for high dps classes to use taunts of pets)
-Skill that would make a pet guard an area, in that area pet would revive and line of sight ( placing itself in front of high dps skills) team players.
-Improvements on traps so they can effectively be used to counter enemy player rotations (slow enemys more, imobilize players, knockdown enemies etc…)
-Create a stealth reveal trap
Rangers are on par in 1 vs 1 cenarios what they need is a role, this in my opinion would give them one.

Casual pvp’er – Can only play 2-3 hours a day
