I saw someone else mention this and I think it’s a great idea, can we make a petition for it?

Or better yet, maybe a group of people would be willing to try it out and show the devs how much better it is?

Remove elite spec, YAY or NAY.

When I do miss the old PvP times, I think that would not solve balance issues.
Many classes are broken on vanilla-level.

What people could try and get is having a separate PvP Queue with Vanilla-builds only.

Removing HoT out of PvP entirely is a bad idea for the reason I stated above + it will make some classes useless again (Warrior, Ranger, Ele) since they got nerfed and altered so much before HoT.

As mentioned that won’t fix the balance issues. All professions are in desperate need of rebalancing, right now pvp devs got stuck in vicious circle of inventing mechanics to counter mechanics they invented previously, and this is at all not needed.

I would love a vanilla queue, i have hot but play only vanilla builds in pvp because i like the challenge. But i only have 2 classes that i can play and thats my condi interrupt burst mesmer and bunker support healing guard. Balance was much better before hot, not perfect but i felt it was getting close then suddenly elite specs through all that out the window. The devs just went over the top with them to sell the expansion and cant really go back now till a new expansion addeds more op choices so ppl have to pick from 2 elite specs at least.

Yeah, that would be great… No way to kill warriors. A great idea, Steve!

Although I do think it would be great if there were (a) separate server(s) for “Vanilla” GW2. It would be completely shut off from the other servers, and basically in pre-HoT state, and with old LA. Some things like wardrobe should carry over but separate characters definitely.

Obviously ANet is not going to do this themselves, but they might give outside sources “permission” to host private servers which could be accessed in-game. They hoard their intellectual property too zealously, I think.
