Rev knockback
Windows 10
Rev bunker is the only build right now I’m having real issues with aside from thief. The build is way too easy to pull-off.
Blocks, evade, blocks, dodges, infuse light, evade, blocks, etc. All the while healing. Once they get you low on CD’s they start spamming Energy Expulsion. The node is just not contestable.
I’ve played vs these bunker revs plenty of times and my only answer is a very niche build as a Necro. Not even wells can make a dent in this build since they don’t just rely on blocks. They have access to plenty of stuff.
What’s wrong with a knock back that you can use every 5 seconds?
This is probably one of the worst things I’ve ever seen in gw2 and I’ve been playing since launch.
If that’s true then you some how missed the skill named Polymorph Moa. It’s a button that defines, “i win”.
When they were first introduced, Rev as a class with their dps + evade skills was the most broken. Window of opportunity simply wasn’t there for other classes to counter play efficiently. That said, since the previous tune up patches, Revs have gotten eons better in terms of balance.
Their AoE knockback is class defining, I wouldn’t call it OP by any means because… well… who has issues with it unless the person plays with their eyes closed?

Definitely don’t see how a rev having to use up all their energy for the elite kb is worth the risk of doing it unless you’re not the one being focused.

>Revenant uses up all their energy to abuse the tablet
>Has nothing left for range pressure
>Nothing left for condi-cleanse/effective healing post-tablet explosion
>Basically forced to switch legends if they’re burst down afterwards
>Knockback can be blocked/evaded/stab’d through
Unless you’re a bunker trying to outbunker it, I dont see how there’s so much trouble killing them

Rev uses all their energy on tablet lololol
Yet they are constantly knocking back everyone. So no need for anything else. They are also tanky enough to withstand any mild pressure you bring.
This build needs a nerf. You should never be allowed to spam some aoe knockback every second lol . kitten that

Energy regens quickly enough where they can continually summon and explode tablets over and over, don’t forget that once a tablet explodes it leaves behind shards that heal you for a decent amount and if you’re the only one on the node from your team you will have a sea of sparkly healing shards before long.
They can also swap legends to actually fight back if they need to. I’m NOT saying they are invincible or anything of the sort, just saying the Ventari Elite is a little out of hand currently with the knockback.
The issue isn’t that they’re able to regen energy fast enough. The elite only costs 10 energy. when people bring up that the skill uses up all energy they mean that using the elite costs 10 energy to use but drains all remaining energy, leaving you with not enough to cleanse or heal, forcing you to change legends when pressured to survive being focused.
You have to choose. Either you try to outsustain a focus or you devote your energy to decapping. You can’t do both and expect to live unless your enermy is really bad or something

I agree with this assessment. It’s not ridiculously broken, but strong, gimmicky, and annoying. The rev doesn’t have to do much but follow their rotation and switch to glint if they’re really getting pressured. It can survive most 1v2s indefinitely, and is especially aids on clocktower.
The main issue I think is not that it’s strong (which it is) but that just about all these revenants do is spam dodge block and knockback. It’s not fun or interesting game play, and isn’t difficult at all. With this toned back, and some other functionality added, bunker rev could be in a better place.
What are you talking about! Rev is one of the hardest to play profession! do yous see many who play it!?

All this legend switching is triggering me greatly. I’m still learning the rotations.
When I get Sword auto down I think I will try to press Sword 3.
