you’re rolling around with 15k hp, i play zerkers too so i know they’re fun
but don’t complain when die fast. :S

Frequently you haven’t the chance to stay out of traps, frequently the DH put them under your feets and then nthe time you run away (if you see then in time) you already had lost 30-50% hp, reciving also damage when you exit the traps.

Traps have not to deal all that damage.

Late dodging, not using mortar 4 like you should, wasting cooldowns on blocks, not looking behind you while kiting, not dodging or reflecting true shot, not making proper use of blast finishers. Also your reaction time is terrible and you seem to just use every skill randomly.

I think that he just do that videos to show how big damage a trap guardian can do.
If you look at the first 4 seconds, he pass through all the guardian traps without dodging while with the endurance full.

LOL. First 5 seconds slow motion crosses the trap boundary as berserker to tank 8k+ damage. The slow motion didn’t emphasize the strength of DH but the fact you walked into it! Casters were in my head shouting "oh my God what is this engi DOING?"

I don’t know why I kept watching, but I stopped at 1:06 when you used your static shield block vs a pillar, and didn’t try to throw when came around the corner.

Guys be freaking fair. he is totally on the run beeing chased, if he stands still he get traps on his feet. its a no go situation for him. Even see the mesmer that get almost one shot at the end just on a couple of traps and 1 bow skill while the guard is just on the way to stomp. engi.

If this is the intention i will bet that a lot of less skilled people are not enjoying the unranked pvp games theese days.

DH traps is not the only one unbalanced spec actually just try to play whitout news specs and you will probably feel something like P2W @PvP arena/hotjoin.

I can understanding HoT has to be sell but actually old specs against news is harder than a simple challenge. And of course it always depends player skill but so less.

Yeah. People actualy loves standing in red circles and running through them (test of FaithQI op!!) without dodging and the video proves it.

Traps are really strong and tbh i though people were exagerating a bit with the “just evade to counter” becouse of daze boons etc but hell, you are the evidence that they were and are right.

Sincerly from a wvw player (mediguard/medi-dragon hunter), where traps are near to be dumb and useless and your silly crusade will bring nerfs even there.

Okay so i was going to defend OP but then i watched the video…. yeah…. but BESIDES THAT i would like to point out that the HOT builds are stronger than the original set builds.
I play Explosives engineer but have no misconceptions about my place in the game, IE not going toe to toe with everyone and expecting to win.
having said that i would like to state that a lot of the HOT builds do exactly this; gives the class passives and non-skill shot effects that allow them to make devastating line of sight based attacks. sometimes you can kite them around an object but not always.
If some of these moves, IE DD evade attack (only massive HP or barriers have a chance 1v1) or Reverent assault (LOS based, might be able to cause partial CD), were skill shots then no one would have a legitimate argument, but these attacks are not skill shots they are LOS and requires little skill out side of ensuring no obstruction.

Secondly, that’s not how you fight a DH. When they engage mid you know traps are going to be set. That means you DON’T run up to him when he places or about to place a trap. You were also attacking during his F3 instead of keeping distant. Care to explain? So far this is very much your own l2p issues.

Only credit I can give you was that the trap effects are invisible when stacked on top of each other. That was seen in the video, an unfortunate bug that I hope they fix.

Scrappers annihilates DH 1v1 so it’s definitely your build and playstyle that’s the problem. Don’t fight in melee when you know a DH is laying or is about to lay a trap. A Scrapper shouldn’t have problems with killing a DH 1v1 unless you eat trap damages and waste your bursts on his blocks.

ouhhhh….no. My Build stays a secret. I am not a META Player and often get ask to post my build. I do not. For variable reasons.

I thoght I can play GW2 PVP without bying the addon …..but its getting worse at the moment.

By that definition thief is super OP. Hell anything running zerker is op.

While I agree he could have done more to avoid the traps, the guardian only had to press two skills to do that amount of damage and imo that shouldn’t be in the game.

Every player in the tournents has their build looked at and shared amongst the community. No build is sacred. The only thing that’s unique is playstyle.

I asked you to post your build so we can see what’s wrong with it, so we can make it better. Obviously there were faults in this video that says you were playing bad. We just want to help list those items.

Playing like an imbecil doesn’t prove that something is OP.. it just proves that you’re an imbecil. Any fool can make a “class is OP” video by not dodging damages…

Of course they will. You know why? Becouse of this silly crusades.
You didnt show us that traps are op, you just did gave us the evidence that most of players want to play brainless.
Not dodging traps = i pretend to stay in a place without taking damage.

There is jsut NOTHING wrong with my build ….this build is the result of tons of matches and i really DONT tell you what it looks like …cause I know ppl will copy it and thats it with having sometimes fun in GW2 PVP.

This build works fine till the addon come out. Dont you realize that there are OP things in DH skills? Trap is as big as the whole point it has no cooldown after laying it down…so you even cant dogde it, if DH set it under your feet. —> result is --> Burning Turtle Style …you know what I mean.

Again: Yeah I am playing a damage build without any def but a lot of burning and a lot of endurance. And it worked fine ….till the DH comes to the match.

I just played nearly 1000 Matches with this build and an with an equal build before the big patch (that changes conditions) nearly 2000 matches and NEVER complain about nothing!

But now ….thats enough and Anet HAS TO CHANGE IT!

Sometimes “L2P” is a valid argument… like when someone posts a video where they play like they are kittened and act like it is proof that another class is over powered. The amount of damage is irrelevant when you fail to use the basic tools each class has (not to mention the tool everyone has – dodging) to fight back.

The Dragon Hunter is a glass cannon. As a Necromancer I can reliably beat them 1v1 just because once their traps are down I can kick their butts with whatever health I have left (assuming I made some mistakes – on a good day the traps don’t even put a dent in my health; with stability up I can walk through all five traps and lose only 4k health).

It is crazy how stupid players can be. I was playing a PUG match and I was doing a 1v2 against a condi-Tempest and a condi-Daredevil at the far node several times in a row. Each time they’d run up throw a bunch of conditions on me, I would reflect them, they would basically one-shot themselves. This happened several times in a row and they were complaining about how much condi damage my power Reaper was capable of in map chat. I fight people like this all the time and I just know these are the same people that come on here and complain about the 30/30/30/30/30 builds that keep killing them.

The fact that you think your build should not have any weaknesses is hilarious. Guess what, most Engineers these days (granted they have the expansion) have 0 issues with Trapper Guardians.

I never complain about imbalance and I am far from unbeatable. I take my bruises and learn from them. It says very little that you never complain if you have had 0 trouble killing anything during your 4000 match career.

In the future, if you want to prove a build is OP do your very best and try new ways to counter it. If you are still getting facerolled, then there is something we can work with. If you are going to purposely eat something like a few stacked traps it proves nothing more then purposefully eating a 100b or letting a Thief spam Heartseeker on you would.

it’s pretty hard for you to make a case for this not being a L2P issue with that video there. you are literally playing like you want to be killed by the traps.

I wouldn’t be so paranoid about your build, if it can’t beat dragon hunters I doubt anyone would want to run it. most people will be running cele scrapper anyhow.

I blame neither case of getting hit on the OP. If you look at the video closely, the first one show test of faith effect disappearing, you can’t really say it’s the player’s fault when the game is not working. The second case, OP is clearly rolling on the floor when he cross the border but still receive 7800 damage.

DH is like the boss in PVE, he just preforms actions so simple that an AI can do it, and still nuke people.
