So, as a long time Warrior who’s spent the whole day rolling people in the Hammer room of Skyhammer, I’ld like to share with everyone what I found to work.

The Definite: I found Rifle and Hammer to work the best. These 2 weapons (especially Rifle) with Leg_Specialist are extremely deadly. Balanced Stance, Fear Me and Rampage are all really strong.

How to Play in the Room: The goal is to get someone onto the glass and then hit them with a Hammer_3 or a Rifle_2, which will be an Immobilize with Leg_Specialist. Your opponent, will then typically fall to their death. You need to wait for the right moment they don’t have stability and have glass behind them to Rifle Butt them or Hammer_5 into Hammer_4. Against a player with Stability, you want to keep your back to the entrance or the control panel and wait for just the right moment. When using the Skyhammer, it’s important to keep an eye on the entrance of the room so you don’t get caught off guard. It’s also important to keep an eye on Thieves near the entrance because they can stealth and enter the room without being seen. Feed info to your team, as you can see the entire field.

Tips: You can wedge yourself into the door crack of the entrance to avoid being CC’ed off. You can always exit the room. Be very wary, of another Warrior, Guardian Hammer, Scorpion Wire, Engis, and Mesmer pulls/Knockbacks.

The Rest of the Spec: Just about everyone knows the strength of Knockbacks and Fear but don’t know how critical Leg Specialist is with finishing people off. If you really want to dedicate yourself to it, roll a Soldier’s Amulet and stall for that right moment to hit them onto the glass.

Cheese spec for a cheese map ^__^ Why beat someone when you can abuse knockbacks + CC to one-shot them? I like it.

When asking ANet for more PvP modes/maps to diversify builds……..This… is…….not……what I had in mind……..

Seems like every profession has something in there sleeve, yesterday some ranger did some ranged knockback on me from up top and it was on side node and I hit the middle glass jumper thingy and flew away from the map and died. He told me he never seen anyone fly that high.

But I find as a Mesmer whenever people say “don’t goto cannon room, theres a guardian up there” I go there place temporal curtain on glass run over glass and shove him right into the pit. I find temporal curtain the most effective way to get people to fall in the pit in the cannon room because it requires no positioning at all. And if they don’t go in all the way I just use greatsword 5 and shove them in somemore, I’ve used greatsword 5 right away when I entered that room and have knocked someone off immediately as well.

If I was to name a profession that wouldn’t be good at this map I’d say elementalist, they have knockdowns instead of knockbacks. Only lightning 5 comes to mind for a knockback and that’s just single target, while Mesmer has 2 ae knockbacks/pulls. I’d assume big ol bomb is pretty effective if it lands but its so easy to dodge.

Only lightning 5 comes to mind for a knockback and that’s just single target, while Mesmer has 2 ae knockbacks/pulls. I’d assume big ol bomb is pretty effective if it lands but its so easy to dodge.

Elementalists also have Tornado conjure earth shield and conjure lightning hammer. And Staff 3 Air Attunement Gust
