So I tried D/D ele....

Rune of Strength benefits condition damage, too..
True, but most builds that are condi builds would chose a different rune set over this. If you think about the professions that tend to go condi: Necro, Engi, Mesmer, Thief, Warrior, and Ranger; only Warrior and Engi have good ways of stacking might. It would be far more beneficial to them not to waste the flat stats on the runes on power either. So I don’t see that many condi builds are picking up this rune set even though the might can potentially add 350 condi damage with 25 stacks of might.

But condition builds doesn’t specialize on obtaining might. Bonus condi damage benefits classes in hybrid builds which are, you guess it, ele and warrior. No one however whines that warriors are OP, everyone got used to it. But when it comes to ele – urghhh, back to the thrash can!
D/D is by far not OP. As long as you can sustain yourself enough for them to mess up a rot, there is you chance to take them down. D/D is very unforgiving vs another great player/build when you screw up. Also, protection is amazing for an ele. Arcane Shield is also a life saver (knowing when to pop that will save you from nasty bursts).
New celestial e/e taking the skill cap of ele way down. I don’t like the new set up everyone is running. Admittedly it works pretty good, just slow sluggish play. I’d like some stunbreaks back in the cantrips so I can run zerker more viable again.

Try Signet of Air. It’s better than one would expect. 30s CD for a stunbreak is pretty neat and the blind always comes in handy too. The movement-speed is a nice extra.
