Seriously, just the Sigil of para change alone can turn things around. That’s without me mentioning the fact that I’m already quite effective against necros when running full mantras on mesmer.

Adding a few forms of aoe condition cleansing to classes that may or may not exist in any given match is not going to cure the current condition meta. The actual conditions themselves need to be nerfed and/or how they are applied. This game needs to move away from the idea of hard counters. THere are 8 classes and only 5 spots in a groups how can you tell me that adding some more abilities to 2 classes is going to fix things. Its the conditions that are the problem. They are too easy to apply, last too long, and gain a disproptionate advantage by having to rely on less stats then power builds.

Yes lets all start complaining even when they even stated during the stream that they didn’t go over everything because it was too much. It was a PREVIEW, not the whole thing.
At least wait until the patch notes tomorrow before passing judgment.

You haven’t even demonstrated an understanding of what is happening in pvp or tried to fix what people don’t like about it.

When the patch that improved Warrior capabilities was released, no one started crying about Wariors. A whole month or even more passed before the QQ start so tell me how can you even say “nothing has changed” before the patch release?
Probably we’ll notice changes in meta and gameplay in a month or two from now.

You people should be glad ArenaNet isn’t like Blizzard when it comes to patches. From what I can see, this patch will address the majority of the issues. It’ll nerf stuns, nerf conditions, and buff support. The long term implications of this might not be obvious, but the slow changes are much healthier to the game than a patch like, “Dhuumfire removed from the game. Bleed damage coefficient reduced by 50%. Mace now dazes” etc.
The balance isn’t perfect and there’s a lot of things wrong with what ArenaNet is doing, but they’re doing the best they can with the very limited resources available. The slow and small changes are frustrating to the players, but the game would be a volatile mess if they did sweeping balance patches every two weeks like everyone apparently wants.

1. No class is strong, builds are strong. I could make a god-awful Necro build that would make ele’s look like gods.
2. Its the 30/20/0/0/20 Dhuumfire build that is so strong, which received not a kitten thing. The necro buffs were to PvE/WvW minions, and then to Blood magic, and neither one of those are going to buff Necro meta builds.

Targeting will get fixed so it’s easier to target the ranger or necro. Meaning tab targeting will select the ranger not the wolf or sun spirit. Mesmers are not affected. That’s something, maybe not everything you want.

They massively improved the quality of life for many builds.
They nerfed stuns.
They nerfed conditions.
They nerfed AI.

Patch hasn’t even launched yet.. right?.. but you’re already putting forth faulty assumptions based on faulty conclusions?..
Usually during patch day my friends list lights up with 100-200 people.. so.. we’ll see what everyone thinks of the new patch and what they’ll decide to do.

I believe it’s mainly a WvWvW change. No ranger in sPvP will use Sic Em as a utility, whereas in WvW individual utilities aren’t as important. Warriors can take Stomp, Guardians can take Wall of Reflection, etc. for those very niche moments that don’t happen in sPvP.

Agree! They acually could just stay with one profession and show thous new GUI features.
It was a preview, they said they weren’t going to show everything, just some of the bigger things and their thoughts from there. More of a way for them to say “hey this change was because of this reason” and use that to be able to talk from their side as to where they are moving some things.

Usually, if there is a problem ruining the game for a very large portion of the population, the devs see it as a big issue, solving big issues is a big deal, preview to patch notes focus on big deals… if fixing the condi/CC-lock meta isn’t important enough to merit time in between tweaks to UI…
Odds say fixes for it aren’t there.

To be fair… The nerf eles got didn’t really destroy them, they were still pretty good until the condi spam and warrior AoE stun trains.
They were not as good as engies in the “I can be anywhere in a 5v5 match and be effective” but they were atleast welcome.

Wtf is this! Minor buffs to everything? Especially skills no one cares about or are still underwhelming to what you’d normally run?
No shaving?
Condis are still to easily applied and just shut players down without passive removal. While still being overly tanky for the damage they put out.
Auto attack to win, no skill builds are still going to be dominant.
And their biggest counter stun spam was nerfed.
/gg great meta shift now we’re back to before stun warriors clearly this is a glorious day for condi spam builds.
Let’s all get really tanky and out last our way to victory while out dmging burst builds
