Well, maby it is a bad topic but I am curious. I don’t wan’t people to flame each other or anything, just want an opinion on what class you find hard to fight.

First of all, this question is mostly aimed to those who mostly uses one main class in PvP but everyone are welcome to answer.

My main and most used class is: Scrapper (Modyfied PowerMeta build)

- Guardians are my top-choice becouse I can not know how good they are, "badW DH are easy to predict and you can avoid all traps and make them use upp all their survival skills, but skilled DHs can surprice you with combos that can down you in seconds if you’re not prepared. Usually a fight with a DH can be long and painfull.

- Warrior is second as they are almost like DH’s, way to easy if there are “bad” but can give you a though fight if you are not ready.

- Thief is pretty easy as mostly they just do are evading, evading, evading and most of them does not even evade when needed … I don’t understand it. I usually just wait for them to waste all their evades and stamina or what it is called. Some hides and some goes invisible… I mean, hey I am capturing this point. But even here, a realy skilled thief can kill me en just seconds if they play them right and I am unprepared.

- Necromancers they are though, as I do not make all to much damage I can’t pick them down fast enough and they are pretty good at staying on point while fighting. Thier conditions hurts and when fighing takes to long my cleanse skills starts to wither. If I do not have Moa on CD it can be a tight fight. Most of the time I win 1vs1 but in a teamfight they are the worst.

- Revenant These dudes are not all to hard but they can hit hard, but they seem to stray of point and that gives me the edge as I can cap the point and take my time to bring them on their knees.

- Elementalists They hit hard and can stay on point, but as I give them preasure I can bring them to go of point and with a Moa ready I can even get them downed.

- Mesmers is like theives but they do not hurt as much. And they like to stay of point so they will never keep a point capped… They are not that hard to kill iether once you capped the point and can go all out attack.

- Engineers are easy… Atleast when they go Power meta. Their health goes down rather quick, my AoE’s takes down their Bulwark and they seem to beleave I also go meta so they are playing the Rotations game and I can see that they are supriced that I do not use the basic rotations. Usually I outclass the other engineers easy. I bet I don’t stand a chance to pro’s and so but usually I don’t have problems against engineers. I once met a Condition Engineer who I had a very long fight with and finally he downed me when he got backup.

Did I miss a class? If so that class is last as I forgot it

As a Reaper all of the melee based classes are the hardest + mesmer. Enemy necros and elementalists are the easiest.

As daredevil:

- Warriors – too many passives, too much sustain, too much dmg. Even if you avoid their burst somehow (although krait runes still go through dodges because logic) they just have sooooooo much sustain, can’t blind them due to zerker stance, can’t do dmg to them due to multiple endure pains, can’t interrupt them due to high access to stab, sure you can sit them out in stealth but they heal like mad during that time. It is just impossible unless warrior is really really bad, like afk bad.

- DHs (any kind) – no matter how bad they are their passives and literary mindless facerolling on keyboard allows even bad DH have upper hand vs thief (too much aoe, too many passives, overloaed traps, blocks, blinds, heals). Good DH? don’t even bother. Bad DH?killable but takes waaaaayyy too long.

- Druid – you can kill only afk or really bad druid. The pet deals thief dmg, the lazer beam deals insane amount of dmg for squishy thief and tracks you in stealth for another good 3-4 sec (not to mention the bug that allows druid to keep lazer on you whole match , even across the map, unless you relog). Unavoidable dazes, blinds, too many heals, endure pain, stab. This is one of those fights you just can’t win given the same skill level.

- Scrapper – too much aoe, too much dmg, too much sustain. They have backstab dmg on pretty much every spell on hammer and hammer is also overloaded with utility like evades or dazes. Then there is high uptime on retal that will sure you take a lot of dmg even if you avoided scrappers attacks. Blinding is pointless due to passive condi removal, interrupting is usually also not an option as they just get stab. Then they also have reveal on short CD which pretty much deletes entire trait line from thief – still can’t believe what devs did just for the sake of sales. Even greedy company like Blizz didn’t go such road as effectively to delete class to enforce artificial demand for other class and so motivate sales.

Everything mentioned above is just no go, like, these classes make me want to quit games all honestly. The mechanics are just so absurdly overtuned that it is like trying to break a 3 meter thick wall with a pillow. No matter how good you are you just won’t win those fights unless enemy is basically afk.

The following classes are manageable.

- Thief – this is either completely easy if thief is not really good or extremely hard if they are good. Good thief will get away if it gets too hot but you can easily 100-0 a bad thief. The skill gap between thieves i have seen in same divisions is just insane.

- Mesmers – unless mesmer is really really good (sup Frosty, Misha, Helseth and co.) they are actually fairly killable. They are also very predictable in most cases. Basi allows to break block, you get plenty of dodges to avoid most of the shatters, double plasma is lovely vs those however you need withdraw and generosity sigils to fight mes. Stealth and interrupts obviously help as well vs them. It is however is a bit longer fight as you need to get through invuls and shatters first. If you don’t land steal it is GG, better reset. If they land moa you might die, problem with moa is the animation of the spell plays when moa is already in effect, better mesmers also hide it behind stuns or just clutter.

- Revs – i would put them in same category as mes. Bad rev is free kill, good or half-decent rev can instagib you if you don’t pay attention or rev got lucky lol. I think thief has pretty good chance to beat rev if they are both on same skill level.

- Necros – not much to say, spam interrupts on them, stealth or kite through DS – dead necro. It might be rough if they start the fight with full DS and land their condi bomb but really the fight is more about patience.

- Eles just don’t do enough dmg if you interrupt overload and main dmg and heal spells. It is bit similar to fighting bunker guard, you just pressure them constantly until they run out of CDs and you finish them. Long fight but nothing hard.

From core thief perspective it is completely different story. Every single fight is extremely hard since you don’t have dodges nor dmg on interrupts. Reveal on demand from rev and scrapper make it often impossible to even bother going in fights. Mobility is also not as high as on DD so all HoT specs (sup druids) can easily catch up to you.

@OP: i can tell you why thieves sometimes randomly dodge w/o dodging anything – they expect you to attack them with some major spell. Problem with thief is if anything lands on them they are toast in most cases so you need to pre-dodge anything enemy throws at you (e.g. DH port nukes, rev port + staff 5).

Main and most used in pvp: SD vanilla engi power rifle
Counters: almost against each class balanced, only one problem is SCRAPPER.
-too much reflects, heavy sustain, no window to cancel important ability, counter my power (with bulky gyro, block, rocket charge) and condi advantage (criple/immobilize/poison with autocondi clean, EG, purgy gyro). I cant find in 1v1 a second to take a breath and send him another burst.

My opinion. I can make great fight against each class where one mistake is important. But scrappy is over my abilities and skill .

So.. I start play scrapper. "

Hardest for me is warrior. I cannot win unless I dodge every single skull grinder (which rarely happens because I usually mess up 2 or 3) unless the warrior is bad. Even then, the regen means it take forever for me to kill even if I am not being pressured.

I do not have many problems duelling any of the other classes at all regardless of skill when I play my best just because of how strong 1v1 Druid is, but this is probably the order I would put them in.

Rev- this fight usually takes a very long time due to the amount of evades the Rev has. I CAN beat the very best revs, but only if I dodge every SotM which are hard to predict if the Rev is good. I can one shot terrible revs but good ones give me a very hard time.

Necro- this is an easy enough fight if I play it well but sometimes I get greedy and don’t give up the cap in this 1v1 which I really should do to win in the long run. Only maybe 3 necros I have played against can beat me more than maybe 1/3 of the time but I still find this 1v1 difficult if the player is very good.

Mesmer- I can beat every Mesmer in the game if I play this matchup right but it is extremely punishing if I mess up because of moa and shatters. I should never lose this if I use my dodges right but that is not always the case. I duel mesmers regularly in private arenas because I enjoy the matchup and to improve my ability in it.

Engi/Druid/Ele- Not much to say about these. I cannot die to any of them and I cannot kill any of them unless the player is truly terrible. Stalemate matchups.

Thief- Very easy matchup. I can die if I have 0 defensive cooldowns and theif interrupts perfectly but more often than not I one shot thieves with my pet burst. If the theif is very good they can make the fight last a while but they always lose.

Guardian- the easiest fight of them all. I can do literally whatever I like here and still kill the guard no matter what their skill level is. Yes, the fight takes time but the risk of me dying is zero and unless the guard runs a bunker build they will die unless they disengage.

As someone who plays off-meta stuff:

If I use stun builds, I dodge Mesmers like the plague. No I do NOT want to fear myself. Pass. However, I learned that most builds use stun breaks/reflects in traits so I resort to roots instead. With that in mind (off-meta, bursting, stunless):

Scrappers are a pain in the patootie. Stop jumping. Stop blocking. Why are you invisible? Where did you get those boons from? Why am I stunned for the umpteenth time? How are you full health in 3 seconds? T-T

Reapers are super easy. I usually come in out of sight, nuke them before they know they are being hit, and move on. If they react I leave them be and move on. So they have become a sort of non-factor (though they do feed my Destroyer Berserker so much good stuff).

Daredevils are iffy. If I can hit them alone, it’s really easy. Minimal condi cleanse if I refrain from attacking while you dodge. Root them a few times and its good. If they have long range dashes I just interrupt the backstab (most Thief/DD run D/p… I figured out how to predict).

The DH’s I have managed to deal with are fun. Difficult, but not Scrapper level. I never feel like I did something stupid unless they pull out that big blue shield of nope. Grrr.

Other Berserker Warrior players never seem to know what to press to counter me. Pretty fun. Either I jump or get jumped, and then it matters if they know how to react.

Heralds are…painful. Sticking them with Scrapper. If I don’t pay attention for a second, I’m just dead.

Chronomancer is…….. the worst. On my Deszerker I got it. On my one shot Thief, it depends how fast they react. Always reaction time problems. But they always nuke me. Oh and condi Chrono/torch gives me the flu.

Tempest are easy to deal with. Ignore if they survive burst, if they don’t survive burst stomp. They don’t seem to move as fast as either of my builds.

I haven’t met a lot of Druids. The few I have are easily the top tier of impossible. Fought one that was Destroyer like me, but they never ever died. They never left full hp. They always had boons. It was…confusing.

:) Thought I’d join in.

Worst Thief in the world, yes I am.

As a person who enjoys playing an off-meta marauder d/d tempest build:

Elementalist: Usually a stalemate if they’re full bunker healing. However, if they’re a fresh air build or dps oriented, then I just run my defensive rotation to mitigate their damage and follow-up with my burst afterwards.
Final Verdict: Not really a problem.

Engineer: If they’re a scrapper then boy am I in for a fight. Usually my fights with scrappers involve my opponent and myself are relatively even with us constantly fighting with 25% health or less. Though their damage and bunkeryness can be pretty terrifying, I find the victor of the fight is pretty much always determined by who hit more skills in their rotation and if my opponent interrupted my Ether Renewal (heal skill).
Final Verdict: Skill based matchup.

Guardian: When facing guardians I actually feel myself having the upper-hand. Despite their many interrupts, guardians seem to not like to move around in a fight. Usually when I use my Armor Earth (stability spell) and then Overload Air, my opponent seems to just stand in my lightning field and eventually gets downed by it. If I do get caught off guard by a guardian, then I can easily just mist form or lightning flash away from their traps.
Final Verdict: Pretty easy matchup if they don’t move around.

Mesmer: Because of Ether Renewal, the condition builds don’t pose a real threat to my build. However, if they are running the off-meta greatsword power shatter, then 9 times out of 10 I get destroyed.
Final Verdict: Difficulty of matchup depends on if they are condi or power.

Necromancer: Like fighting condition mesmers, ether renewal works wonders against necros as well. With proper evading and condition cleansing, fighting necros isn’t really much of a problem…unless they get a lucky stun or daze off when I’m channeling my ether renewal. If that happens then it’s back to the respawn point for me.
Final Verdict: Easy matchup if I don’t get CCed when channeling a key ability.

Ranger: Like fighting a bunker ele, duels against bunker druids are endless as well. The only difference is those pets hit friggen hard. Though I have been able to stalemate with a couple druids, I’ve never been able to down the smart ones.
Final Verdict: The druid has the upper-hand.

Revenant: I’m going to be to the point on this one, if the rev is running sw/sh and staff then I will probably get rekt. However, if the rev is condi or running hammer then it’s a pretty easy matchup for me.
Final Verdict: Since power shiro is the most common rev build, rev will likely win.

Thief: Now this my friends is when I question my builds viability. Call me a scrub or l2p noob but I honestly can’t fight thieves as an ele. Thieves are able to endlessly interrupt my healing skills and my overloads even when I have stability while utterly deleting half of my health pool instantly. To this day, I still have problems fighting thieves with my build and have yet to figure out a rotation that can deal with them.
Final Verdict: I get rekt…HARD.

Warrior: Fighting a warrior is like fighting a really tanky thief. They too have a lot of stuns and on top of that, lots of sustain. I find warriors will usually win in this matchup since whenever I pop my overload, they’ll just use their resistance and completely negate all of the damage. Despite this, if the warrior is condi, then I don’t really have too much problem stalemating with them.
Final Verdict: Unwinnable for me but possible to stalemate.

>Ranger:

Warriors: While it depends on the map, small points (Nifelhel, Foefire Home/Far) means I have very little room to kite with. I constantly have to prepare to dodge or Stunbreak the inevitable Headbutt and dodge every Skullgrinder. Whittling them down is a chore and a half when they’ve got that passive healing should they land a hit, and just enough CC to make it happen.

Scrapper: Its not that they’re extremely threatening, but neither of us will die easily. Unless one of us gets +1’d it’ll go on till the point’s lost (usually the Scrapper takes it if running Elixir X because Nado>SotP)

Mesmers: Extremely tricky. While I can beat them in a sustained fight, their bursts are no laughing matter. I have to constantly be ready to condi-clear if I miss a dodge and often pray I can force them to leave once I’m on CD. I dont really see a lot of power shatters to say much about them.
I kinda wanted to learn how to play this class, but their tricks seem so overwhelming to understand for some reason

>Revenant

Condi-Mesmer: No need to explain this. They’re a soft/hard counter.

Condi-Warrior: They’re not bad before going Berserk, but once they activate it, I am forced into a more defensive position to minimize their output as much as possible.

Thief: Extremely annoying. Good ones can reset the fight before I can do anything decisive, but those who dont know when to run are usually easy pickings

So I run the boring old d/p thief build…..

Hardest is probably a good necro. If I get hit once with a scepter auto I have no way to clear that one bleed that lasts for about 8 seconds. I know to kite when they have shroud up and I usually blind / dodge their attacks (since they are so slow) and I headshot (daze) them whenever they try to heal.

Engi is probably the next hardest to counter. I have to kite a lot but they heal quite a bit by the time I re-engage. My blinds don’t work as well because of multiple damage procs in 1 skill (like hammer 5 and E-Gun 4 damaging over time).

Warrior is probably the next hardest (if they are using LB). I usually fight them until they go into zerker mode and stay alive by blinding and baiting out the passive damage immunity. I kite them if they go into rage mode or have resistance / damage immunity.
If they aren’t running LB then they don’t get the adrenal HP proc and I laugh as they sit there doing nothing while in rage mode.

Next up is druid, though this is getting to the easier part of the list. I usually just wait until they are using the staff auto then pop an interrupt. If they go into CA then I cc them a bit more. If they use strength of the pack I steal and proceed to auto until they panic. The heal is also pretty interruptible. To deal with the pet, I let it auto until I see a noteworthy animation, like a bristleback using its f2. Just pop an interrupt and thats the end of it. For the smokescale, I use bandit’s defense (2s block and stunbreak) and get past most of its dps.

Mesmer is next, you just have to land the steal or you’re f***ed. The burst usually comes about 3-4 seconds after combat starts, in which case I pre-emptively block.

DH is one of the easier ones, honestly. I think most of them turn their brain off when they see a thief coming ‘cause they don’t expect anything out of it. What I do is bait the passive stun break and land the stolen skill on them for a 3s daze. They are on the ground shortly after.

Rev is pretty easy if they don’t get me with the first burst, most of their damage skills are pretty easy to tell when they come off cd. Sword 2 / 3 and staff 2/5 are about it (aside from autos). You can block / interrupt Unrelenting assault with bandits so it isn’t that bad.

Thief is probs the easiest. Most of them just blow the steal at the start of combat when it has zero utility. Like… It heals you (doesn’t work at start ‘cause full hp), poisons (doesn’t work ‘cause they wont’ use healing skill at start), interrupts (not using any skills at start). Also playing the class has led me to predict the playstyle and benefit from it.

Ele…. I just auto and interrupt overloads. If they kill me then ele outplayed me like crazy or I was lagging.

If you can’t beat it, it is, needless to say, OP

I"m a chronmancer, running a power interrupt build: sword/sword and sword/shield.

DragonHunter is by far the hardest matchup for me. All my clones are melee. They die as soon as they make any moves to attack, because of traps. I have to get close to attack also. I can’t get close cause of traps so the point is theirs. I can’t stay far or they will attack with long bow and do big damage, or they’ll just pull me into traps. And they have a lot of blocks.

Mesmer: power shatter greatsword mesmers is a really tough match up for me. My health is at the half way point by time i can finally close the gap. And when I do, they stealth and teleport away, so i have to repeat the process. And the burst combo is enough to one shot me, and I have a pretty decent amount of toughness. I can usually avoid with well timed dodge/block, but then they stealth and repeat it. A one shot burst combo from stealth just isn’t fun to fight against, by any means. Thankfully, there are fewer of these mesmers around thanks to the condi meta.

Warriors: Jesus they kittening hard. Every other hit with their GS is for 8k. half my health is gone in one swing. And can make their attacks unblockable. The multiple endure pains is insane. Long stuns. But the fight is still doable. but really gotta avoid 90% of their attacks, which is hard since i need to get close to attack. Also, they have a lot of acccess to stability so hard to get interrupts off on them.

Revenant: Their damage is also insane, and unblockable. if I’m pushed into a wall and they use that staff spin on me, literaly 90% of my health gone in that instant. The fight usually goes on for a while with me mostly having the upper hand until I run out of CDs. or until I can land a good burst.

Engineer: They just have so many boons on all the time. Lots of might so they hit hard. Lots of Aoe that kills clones. Lots of healing from regeneration, and lots of stability so hard to interrupt. And long stealth.

Druids: a good druid can just lock me down and kill me before I can really do anything. But I don’t see those druids often. Their pet hits very hard. Getting dazed while rooted and comboed down usually is where the fight ends for me. But I would say it’s more fair than the 3 classes above them.

Thief: That condition evade build is hard for me, because I run phantasmal disenchanter for cleanses. Phantasm can’t cleanse because the thief evades all the attacks. and I use the well for healing, which is great for condi cleanse, but the heal Cd is too long to keep up with the amount of condi spam. Also, i run out of dodges faster because they evade so much, I can’t hit them to get vigor. Power staff thieves are easier to deal with cause I can block and evade vault with good timing. Until by luck, one of my attacks land.

Necromancer: I think it’s a fair fight. If i win, it’s usually because they were just interrupted way too much. If they win, it’s they pump out so much chill, i’m moving so slow i can’t get away. I’ll be cautious about getting in close and won’t be able to proc vigor, so run out of dodges. Clones die fast because they vaporize everything in a small radius around them. But it’s really the chill that kills me.

Elementalist: good scepter power eles are challenging to deal with. they’re the only ones i find challenging. They put a lot of area attacks between me and them, so if i have to go through it to hit them, but going thru it means death lol. It’s quite funny actually. But i haven’t had enough fights with these eles, so more fights would probably mean they will become easier for me to deal with in time.

As a meta condition chronomancer(difficulty in bracket) playing against meta builds for other class.

Warrior(Medium): Varies a lot depending on player skill but in general very manageable. Just need to dodge/block their big bursty skill while kiting and doing damage. GS warrior can be trickier because their ability to cleave out clones with this weapon.

Guardian(Extremely Hard): Almost impossible fight against a decent dragonhunter. Even against bad ones, it takes a lot of effort and accuracy to take down, and also very risky. They have too many symbols and traps to cleave out the clones. In between those skills, they still have a good block uptime. The on-demand unblockable CCs are great counters to our shield block.

Revenant(Easy): We pretty much hard counters power revenant in a 1v1. It is more about how to take down them fast enough. But they still post a great threat when you are already pressured. But that is why revenant is so good in PvP(relentless chasing of pressured enemy).

Thief(Easy/Hard): Depends on the build. DP is pretty easy to beat. But good DP thieves shouldn’t 1v1 you anyway. Staff thief is very hard to fight on point. They have good sustain and too many on-point cleave to clear clones. You need to shatter clones fast and accurate(hit between their infinite dodges). Luckily staff thief is not that great at chasing so it is possible to reset against them.

Ranger(Hard): They have too much sustain to beat in a 1v1. With moa, it is not hard to stalemate a fight for long enough though. But to take one down requires a lot of things going my way. They also have great mobility to keep up with you so it is a pretty annoying opponent to fight against.

Engineer(Medium/Hard): Paladin scrapper can be beaten with moa but it takes some effort since they have a lot of survivability through stealth gyro and elixirS. It is pretty hard to interrupt their heal because of constant stability. Menders scrapper is kinda impossible. They can outsustain your damage through healing. Kinda similar to the druid fight.

Necromancer(Easy): A matchup heavily in our favor but there is definitely room for screwing up due to their ability to transfer conditions. If they play minion build, it will probably require you to land the moa to win. Sometimes it gets tricky because it gets really bad if you get +1 in a 1v1 fight against necro. Their constant chill application makes your important CDs take just that much longer to recover from.

Elementalist(Easy): It is more about how long it takes to take them down. They have not enough damage to force us off point. Healer tempest is a support spec that really shouldn’t go into 1v1 for most of time.

As Guard running symbol build, easy to hard:

Elementalist: I wont be able to chase them, but they cant be enough damage to pose threat for a high sustain build.

Revs: I always hear that they counter DHs. Considering I play Rev second most after DH I find that statement to be somewhat true, however, more true against medi trapper, not so much against symbol build.

Eng: Annoying, but same as elementalist, cannot deal enough damage. On point I will outdps them and with correct use of blocks you can sustain long enough.

Necro: It is usually a race on defensive CDs burn, which considering symbol guard amount of condi cleansing not so much in favor of Necros. In addition, there is little to no unpredictability.

Mesmer: this is a hyperbole. I think that top tier condi Mesmer will win against symbol guard given infinite amount of time, which is almost never the case. Power builds actually stand a better chance, but are riskier for the Mesmer, cuz if I mitigate the first two shatters, it is over for the Mesmer.

Thief: At full HP and CDs DP or condi solo has almost no chance. Staff on the other hand can win. It still require quite a bit of time.

Warrior: condi can be a pain in the butt, power on the other hand is formidable. The key is to avoid/block the right attacks, which is easier against condi than power. If I cannot pressure them enough early it is a lost cause.

Medi trapper guard: particularly with precision blades, are very difficult to fight. They play some what like symbol, but with better range and worse sustain. If the battle lasts more than 30 sec, Symbol build will win.

Rangers: on normal conditions they are way down in the list, but some elements if successfully hit correctly, will provide the ranger the upper hand. Ranger has range advantage and can trigger traps using pets. Aligning the burst at an unanticipated time is key for ranger. If ranger is condi, or plans to out sustain me, will lose.

I’ve been mostly maining Vanilla Power Necro for a while now. These are my matchups from my own personal experience in pvp:

Dragon Hunters: Pretty easy to deal against, most usually just sit in the capture point spamming traps and bows. I have a really easy time peeling them off at range with my axe and wells. The good ones can provide a challenging fight though otherwise they aren’t too much of a problem.

Heralds: Frustratingly boring to fight against, especially as a power necro as they can block my attacks and endure pain. But they are alot easier to deal with when playing Condi necro providing I keep a good distance away from them.

Daredevils: Fun matchup, I either grind them into dust or they smash me into the ground. It all depends who gets the first attack in. Wells do a good job of keeping them off my back though.

Scrapper: Not too bad to go against, although good ones can pulverize and outlast me in a fight due to the sheer utility that they have. Rather annoying to fight as a power Necro, like the herald. They’re alot easier to deal with if you’re a condi Necro.

Revenant: They can be either really tough or really easy to go against. From my experience they almost ALWAYS go for me first. Scary to go against when in melee distance.

Tempest: I’ve never really had any trouble against them honestly. I can’t say much about them other than that they have some fantastic bursting potential, but as long as I can avoid the initial hits then I’m usually pretty good.

Druid: Stupidly boring to fight against. Crazy Sustain, Crazy range, Annoying pets. I have difficulty against competent ones.

Chronomancers: Unless they’re Condi I don’t have too much trouble from them since I have more than enough AoE to deal with the clones. Moa Form is a huge kitten you though. How it can end Lich Form, Plague Form and kill all your minions and putting them ALL on full Cooldown leaves me pretty salty.

Reapers: Probably the HARDEST to fight 1v1 in my opinion. Reapers are just superior versions of Necromancers. Better skills, better traits, better utility, better shroud. There’s nothing that I can do that they can’t do better. Any competent Reaper can chew me out pretty quickly. It’s a very one-sided fight.

I play elementalist and mostly use sage amulet.

Cronomancer:
Condi: It is serious. Not a fast fight but i loose most of it.
Power shatter: Not a great threat and mostly a win after some time.

Necromancer:
Condi necro is the most dangerous oponent i can encounter. While a 1:1 is some kind of 50:50 in a teamfight he ruins my day … (So kill it first ^^)
Power necro is not a threat and more a victim.

Power warrior: Dangerous. I need perfect play and can´t kill fast. After some time the mistake or CD lets me fail to avoid a CC and forces me to disengage or die.
Condi warrior: Anoying like hell but can´t realy kill me. Ends in a stalemate.

Scrapper: I win manny, but fights are long. Only makes sense on own point.

Druid: If they rely on longbow it´s a win. Often a fast one. Defensive druids healing a lot are again very long fights and more of a stalemate.

Guardian: Mostly a victory. Also especially if they use longbow. So i counter meditrapper. The symbol guard is a hard and lasts too long.

Revenenant: I just win 90% and in a reasonable time.

Thief: As revenant. I kill most try hard thiefs. They either disengage or strike me in a +1 at a very bad moment or they go down in flames. Even if they think they kill the disengaging ele at 50% mostly kills them.

Ele: support ele is a stalemate. Fresh air is in my favor.

What class I find hard to fight, has a lot to do with what class I’m playing, and how good I am with said class, and how good the other person is with there’s. It normally need to be 2-3 people vis me on my own for me to go down, and then I can normally get one of them down before I get downed.

Well that’s why I asked something like those who play one class mostly and not switch to much, but even so everyone are welcome to answer. So in short,
- the class you play the most and/or like the most.
- Don’t base difficulty depending on one single fight, try to find a good middle value of many fights with that class.
I mean I can not add Necromancer as the hardest class I have met just becouse I had a fight with a Necromancer a few days ago who defeated me a DH and a thief solo, next fight I had with him went better and was a 1vs1 but he won with ease anyway.

Of course it all ends in player skill, but sometimes Matchmaking does a good job.
