Guild Wars 2

It’s an action MMO. 3d fighters are bad enough. I still play because the PvE is a joke, and I have nowhere else to show off my fashuns. I also like to see progress, but I hit a plateau really quickly with this ratings system. Bring back pips.

The short version: the game is bad.

Longer version: the core gameplay took a nosedive with HoT and has stayed there. Plenty of people in absolute denial state that the game is in the best state ever when it comes to balance and gameplay despite the lack of population proving them absolutely wrong. “Best state” post HoT is still trash. Even pre-HoT the best the game has ever been is “ok, flawed but with potential”. Anet simply does not know how to create enjoyable, skill based gameplay. A PvP game this poorly designed cannot survive without constantly bribing your playerbase, which is why the last season was a “success”. The only reason people played was because they got easy gear, not because they actually enjoyed the game.

I haven’t even finished my placement matches and frankly don’t care to. Plenty of good games have come out to waste my time on. No need to be tortured here.

Anet would have to bring in people who aren’t afraid to change things up for the better, which implies gutting the stupidly lazy Elite specs and removing bad, annoying mechanics.

It’s simple, really. If your game isn’t fun, people don’t play it. People like me don’t PvP anymore because the game is more torture than fun. That’s all there is to it, really.

My ex won’t get back together with me – why bother trying to have a life?
