You’re telling me that Warrior beats Engi? Bet my life I’d destroy you 24/7 no matter what you build with a Warrior. Seriously its a low skill cap class and I don’t really mind proving it.

Add Necro to low skill cap too honestly, but at least building stun breaks on a Necro isn’t viable while stun breaking over and over with a Mesmer gets rewarded too easy.

Since people are negative about nerfs, how about we buff to balance then?

Necro low skill cap, too? What by your definition is a high skill cap profession?

I have some complaints about Warriors. At lower skill levels/entry level, they are an easy noob-killer. Takes no skill to pummel beginners into the ground as a beginner yourself.
Kill Shot deals entirely to much damage. I do not care how it can be avoided, no ability should be able to one-shot anyone at full health. Especially lame in WvW where in the chaos you rarely ever notice the Warrior doing the cast.

But, in general Warriors are no where near as bad as Thieves and Mesmers. Atleast a Warrior i can see jogging my way, and his burst comes with a very telegraphed animation that tells me “dodge nao!”. A Thief i dont always see comming as he was in stealth before i saw him, and his burst comes instantly. Steal+CnD = already more then half my health gone and its pretty much unavoidable, instant and simultaneous.

Thats what pisses people off with Thieves, its pretty much impossible to avoid the burst. At best you can try to cut it short and break out of the chain, already at a heavy cost of your healthpool.
And where a Warrior is fairly low skill to avoid, a Thief requires very rapid reflexes and much more skill to react properly. While executing this for a Thief is pretty much a no-brainer.

Call me nuts but I’ll go with Warrior and Ranger in competitive play. Thief is very debate-able but I’ll have to say yes against good players. I suppose against a team who knows how to AoE, focus, and predict, I can see Thief taking some skill. Maybe even Guardian against a comp with a Necro that strips boons 24/7 via wells. Elem isn’t bad either.

The real issue at least to me is when talking about class balance is Mesmers and Engineers. Their gadgets deal damage while they sustain and break off stuns “a.k.a I kittened up button” 3 times in a row. Like why can’t the damage output be mainly from the Engineer or Mesmer itself? Oh yeah, to satisfy low skill cap players. That’s the answer.

I’m curious where you’re finding these engineers, because I’d like to ask them how they managed to slot five utility skills on their bar.

Mesmer can say the same thing as warriors, leap is very crappy without having to 100% rely on an npc that gets stuck and will never make it to the enemy, gets killed, chases a running opponent but is way too far behind him for you to leap, doesn’t appear right beside the enemy so you can leap instantly to start your burst, very easily recognizable for being dodged before the combo even starts, killing the whole idea of your combo. There is so many wrong with leap it’s not even funny.

The way it should be is Hop to target foe and root them, the clone you summoned takes your old position you hopped from. Seeing your clone get stuck is so depressing when your spike counts on a npc, that’s where you go well, that weapon set has jsut became useless for the next fifteen seconds and swap.

I must’ve missed the sign that said it was a fire sale.

BTW I traded in my warrior for a mesmer because I wanted to play a class that actually HAS A SPOT IN TOURNEY PLAY using a 20/20/0/0/30 build.

Shatter/phantasm hybrid – sword/sword + staff.

The entire combo does what you’re complaining about and it has NEVER failed. It’s a machine, clockwork. It’s the only class I’ve played (other than my thief but that’s another issue entirely, backstab spec) where I don’t give a crap what the other player does. I do my rotation, they die. I could care less what attack the opponent does, I don’t care where they move. It really has no bearing on my mesmer whatsoever what they do. I launch my ‘rotation’, I finish with sword 3, sword 3 teleport, sword 2 blurred frenzy + shatter. Every time. Against every class. If somehow they other player doesn’t die, I launch a double dodge weapon swap confusion shatter and stall for 10 seconds then do the combo again.

So, I seriously seriously hope you’re trying to troll when you post about your mesmer having “issues”.
