Ill probably watch the first couple games but the one in boston dragged on a bit. I think 2 1/2 hrs will be all i got so hopefully you guys post the finals some where too.

Hopefully they can sit down this time and there’ll be no rubberbanding. :p

If ANet wants to tap into the 71.5 million people who watch eSports, then they need to look at really revamping PvP.

First and foremost, look into why we keep seeing the same 5 teams playing in these tournaments.

Other then the fact i think GW2 should have there own in game tournaments more often. Did you happen to stop and think that these are the best players in the game on the best teams?

Man i hate the nba witht he spurs vs lebron james in the nba finals all the time. Or the NFL with the seahawks and patriots always making to the end. How about tennis, seriously how old is serena williams and roger federer? You should rethink your position.

My position is the same and the same teams/players out of a collectively small few is the inherent problem.

This game does nothing for viewers, especially watching the same players okay in every championship game. Anet has a lot to learn to make pvp mainstream and you’re not going to achieve that by having a barrier of entry and shotty game modes.

I love pvp as the next person but from an esports perspective, it falls well short of becoming relevant in the industry.

I guess we can disagree.

I do agree that PvP going mainstream wont happen but thats due to the in-game situations. I also really enjoy the game modes so i disagree there but i can agree from a esports perspective.

i can’t wait… joking. Stop your e-sport dream and start building a game then you may think about money.

Well the match is ultra early Saturday morning so you can sleep all day Saturday after the match. It wont affect work on Sunday.

It’s still super early though… But I gotta see my boy Toker wreck EU.

i doubt they will announce challenging pve content
a secret new pvp map? announcement that they are now previewing the last elite specs?
An entire new pvp feature? i would be happy for a new pvp lobby map…

After not hearing anything about a type of GvG implementation, I was very impressed with a GvG announcement as well as its intricate structure. They were working on it even during all the forum QQs about no guild vs guild!

If they said they’re focusing 100% on HoT, they could develop and release anything at this point. I’m beside myself with anticipation!

They will announce something about PvE probably during the other Gamescom days, but if what I read is right, during 8th we should hear a sPvP feature/news.

If we are guessing I’ll say three things: Finished Leaderboards, Guild Teams or Hot Join rework. I’m so hyped both for news and the WTS EU matches! It’ll be a HUGE day.

I think they will give us intel about challenging content.

The Abjured are the champions of the underdogs. For too long EU has been turning their noses up at NA in competitive online games.

It’s time for NA to silence those elitist jerks! Break the cycle of the European/Korean dominance. Bring the trophy home to North America boys!

These money tournaments are the equivalent of bread and circuses from ancient Rome. Sure we don’t have any kind of meaningful way to rate ourselves in the actual game or leaderboards or anything like that but every once in awhile we throw 50k around to fogify the E-Sportz people.
