that shows there is a lot of space for a possible solution to protect the economy and give player rewards.. how i said, 1 possible solution would be a maximum amount. a cap at 250 gold would reduce the amount by half.
So now you will all be getting tradeable rewards and gold for winning/glory whatever, whereas the poor kitten step child wvw still gets kittened on, and still you people find something to moan about- in a game mode that requires no levelling time, no farming time, etc.
Wonder how many months/years it will be before wvw will be even remotely as well rewarded as you guys will be, or if we will ever see scrolls, etc being available from wvw ‘rewards’.

Ultimately the problem is that the long term goal is to remove glory which is fine.
But what if instead PvE players with more than 300g couldn’t use their abundance of gold in PvP until let’s say 40-60% of it was spent? Either to a NPC or on trade post (putting up buy orders excluded)
Then make it so all new transferable gear must be newly obtained. So people need to go out and get it AGAIN if they want it for PvP
This will force money out of the economy as well as even up rewards for PvPers.

You do get scrolls they are a rare drop…
You also get precursors and exotics again rare drop.
The only thing you should complain about is RNG. Our one saving grace we don’t have to contend with… Yet (looking at the new coffers)

But really people, its almost like people want to get paid cash to play this. Want more gold, get a job, go buy a gem card, and trade for gold! Other wise enjoy the game, have fun, or go home to mommy.

We can’t pay armors, and meanwhile PvErs try to stop Anet for giving us gold for played tpvp. Sad.

u know whats esp funny? the new wintersday vendor.. so ppl with thousends of glory buy them and sell them on trading post. who gets the most benefit? right, skyhammer farmers and birthday bug user and some ppl who saved the glory (the most prop. are hot join farmer, but at least players that played right).
so now some pvp ppl has hundrets of gold. is the economy now exploded? the whole argumentation against backward rewards with “economy” stinks.
You don’t have to farm in PvE to make gold. My lv 62 friend who does only pvp get 1000g right after patch by buying Giant Gifts and sell them and now he unlock all skins he want. He said he can make 4000g but he will keep his 1M glory for the future PvP Legendary weapons.
It is not about how you get money it is about “when”. This is same on PvE you don’t have to farm all day to make money you just have to know when to get which item and when to sell it.
The money is not about PvP PvE it is about “Learn to play TP”.

yeah he was lucky to be online right after patch during the high cost for giant gifts. and he saved all his glory. but not all has such high amount of glory and/ or where online direct after patch. also i think your numbers are somehow wrong. 1000g and could make again 4000g and still 1m glory.. smells like birthday booster exploit and not only normal playing. so less fairy tells please and stickin to truth.
and the truth is that even this what u describe hasnt break the economy nor would it if pvp players would get gold for won games in the past. its just show how ridicilous high the reward in pve is and how many gold they floating around. even with that reward for past games we couldnt even compete with them on the trading post if thats what anet has fears for.
Skyhammer nap farmer/glory exploti, no other explanation, I vote this 1st.
1st get rid of glory, than introduce legendary. Ppl who farmed skyhammer shall not have any advantage buying at least a part of legendary with their milions of glory.
now that skyhammer farmers and birthday exploit glory was converted into gold they should give pvp players on principle gold for previous toureny wins! every else is a joke and a slap in the face for every normal pvp player who played the game the normal way.
