pvp/class balance and build diversity
I wanted this a long time ago. I theorized that balancing 1 vs 1 as well kitten vs 5 would result in the most overall balance. Looking at 5 vs 5 alone may toxic variation like we see with all the condition spamming, healing, and passive/active defenses.
Right now 5 vs 5 balance creates the notion that if a seemingly op build dies in a 1 vs 5 it is not too tank. if a condition build cant take out one in a 1 vs 3-5 then it is balanced. But this of course simply isn’t true. 1 vs 1 and 5 vs 5 balance would help spvp allot.
1) This would be too confusing for new players and not worth trying in a f2p game.
2) Balancing a 5vs5 mode based on 1vs1 would be terrible in this game. People in 1vs1 lobbies are still crying about druids and trapper dragonhunters being ‘too strong’, what does that tell you?
