what if, new players have zero MMR instead of average MMR ?

new players deserve to be put together with their own (new players or really really low MMR players) and get farmed by veterans, and not expect veterans to carry them.

Incredible idea. You should send your resume to Anet, I am sure they would take on someone with such amazing ideas.

The main reason for that is that it is highly unfair to players who join and learn quickly. Their skill level will climb much faster than their MMR can, since the MMR of your opponents is factored in to your change.

At 0 (or 1) MMR, it could literally take them years to even reach an average rating.

This is really unfair for average MMR players to get new player in their team.

This means, to get average is way harder than being lower average or better than average.

This can bring any avg mmr player into MMR hell because of that thing.

They did put that avg MMR to new player, to help better than average MMR player buy a second BOX to play with people without “lowering” their high MMR status.

All top players did pay for a second and third account, to keep their inflated high MMR.

Even… everybody after rank 20, can troll ranked team with second FREE account without much problems…

New players should have 25% MMR (just enough to not get into MMR hell of the scrubs) not 50%.

I don’t like the ideal of new players in Ranked PvP starting with %0 to %25 MMR but again you are just trading one brutal system out for another one. This is the same thing the so called “Elitist and Good” players have done to you, why do it to another undeserving of MMR hell. Also all of the hypocritical elites that are telling decent players in MMR hell that they should give a helping hand to the players that are trolling or just not good enoth at the game to be any help to a team, should also be crowned big kitten hypocrites, as well if they followed their own words then this situation would not be happening in the first place.

We need a system where 800 MMR team faces off against 800MMR team not 500MMR team get put against a 1200MMR team. If you are too dumb to see that then you just need to have your reproductive organs removed cause your kind is the reason most of the world problems are happening today, the world can do without you much smoother as well as us.
