…at least, this will definitely encourage players to keep playing or entice other players to come play because it’s something to look forward to… also, would be great if there are other encouraging rewards for WvW to come up with and make ppl stay whether they are outnumbered or not

ye i think they really should bring it back “/rank” emote for WvW and sPvP… players will “/(any emotes)” esp on any dead corpse they’ve killed but STILL nothing beats “/rank” hehhehe… well IMO of course :p
Agree, make the changes Anet keep this game moving in the right direction, it needs some changes for the long term

WvW rank is silly because everyone in the server will have that rank. You’re better off working for a sPvP title and waiting for them to implement a related emote for that. I just bow after a good fight in WvW, jumping on corpses is reserved for unsportmanly players like theifs that take advantage of stealth+culling and other distasteful opponents.
And as for rewards, at the rate the community churns out distasteful words towards it being a grind for nothing but ego, expect it to get a buff in some way.

Could be fun. Zaishen emotes were pretty much a PvE only thing and that was fine too.
Right now people are already jumping on corpses or /laugh’ing at them, so I don’t think people ego tripping on corpses with emotes is gonna change anything. And I recall flashing /rank just to make myself feel better in town to my friends made me feel extra special. Sometimes shiny is good only by virtue of being shiny and that might be okay.
may i suggest a pointing system similar to something like below:
Total Points to have for WvW /rank emote:
rank 5 = 2000 pts(/rank5)
rank 4 = 1000 pts(/rank4)
rank 3 = 500 pts (/rank3)
rank 2 = 250 pts (/rank2)
rank 1 = 100 pts (/rank1)….
Every week, 3 servers compete and at the end of the match there’s always first, second and last ranking for each tier…
first = 5 pts
2nd = 3 pts
last = 1 pt
in addition to these points, there should be points added to it according to the tier bracket the server is in (this way servers are encourage to go for the next tier);
since we have 8 tiers in NA , it will be something like:
tier 8 = 1 pt
tier 7 = 2 pts
tier 6 = 3 pts
tier 5 = 4 pts
tier 4 = 5 pts
tier 3 = 6 pts
tier 2 = 7 pts
tier 1 = 8 pts
… let’s say you are in a server from tier 5 and your server finished second on that week then all the players from that server gets: 4pts(tier5) + 3pts(2nd placer) = 7 pts
There should be a time requirement that must be held for the player to acquire this title/rank. I’d suggest something between 10-30 hours per week WvW playtime. Also, if the player decides to change server later on the points accumulated should be cut in half or reset to ZERO.

please do not add ranks to wvwvw…
this only serves to stop newer players from joining in.
it ruined the first game, lets not repeat the failures of the past.
-first game people started to run cookie cutter builds for hours and got fame up, but couldnt run anything besides the one build making them overall useless.
I think cosmetic ranks purchasable via badges of honor in WvW would be fine- it wouldn’t really ruin anything and it’d serve as a badge sink.
people dont get the same amount of badges of honor… some get more, some get less others dont get a chance to have any… rewarding their playtime and participation while in WvW may be a little better but this is just a suggestion to encourage players to come play outmanned or not
