Allow us to check which items of town clothing we want to show, while retaining the statistics of what ever item we are actually wearing.

Currently we are unable to wear our holiday costumes or hats in explorables, because one hit and we transform back into our regular armor. But some of us like to wear our rare holiday clothes while doing dungeons.

I agree, Forsaken World a game I played before had that and I liked it you could buy really nice fashions and choose to have it shown or armor, and in combat as well.

You can do this with costumes in the first Guild Wars.

But here even in town if you are the type who likes to jump down ramps or the like, boom, you took a tiny amount of damage - better put that armor back on.

For a game that emphasizes the coolness of skins over the rush to get better numbers and provides many different armor looks [especially at max level], I would think there wouldn’t be anything wrong with displaying costumes in combat.

I wasn’t too excited about the light armor options for my elementalist, and having a cute costume to wear as I travel would be amazing! I really hope they consider this come Wintersday….

I don’t know about this. It would be rather cool but it makes no sense in combat … A guardian wearing a singlet and some khaki shorts will not fare well in combat against the risen.

I don’t know that Anet added a singlet and some khaki shorts as Town clothes, is this a Gem store thing :P

Rift does this also and it was quite popular. I think it is a fantastic idea.

Disagree, It is silly for a chef to fight in battles.

Otherwise, just let us wear other armor types too.

Unfortunately I skipped out on buying Phantom Hood because it’s town clothes only which means it’s 100% useless to me. =[
