C.O.D.
Enough gold sinks in game already, don’t need any more thank you.

I know, but it wouldn’t be a new gold sink really as it means people instead of making a trade via TP would do it via mail instead for convenience. I mean lets say you meet someone in the map and you got something they want, np TP near by to collect your items, this where mail would come in. I’ve played other games that have cash shop but still have all 3 trading systems in place ie: cod mail, person to person as well as AH and they all work fine but AH still gets used most.
ANet haven’t forgotten to allow people to trade. Its not in the game by design. Possibly because trade spam was insane in GW1, or possibly just because they are mean – who knows.
I don’t want to have to PAY to send stuff to my friends. Instead they can add in a requested gold for item feature to the mail, where you have the option of asking for the agreed upon price, where if the person does not, they can return to sender only, but if they do agree, they can click obtain, and the system will deduct and send said amount directly to the seller.
C.O.D. is needed to send things friends list, alts, guild-mates, on just as a gift for to someone. There is no need to tax it.
There are other ways to stop gold sellers and their bots.
what is C.O.D? coz if its the game im against anything to do with it!
Cash on demand
When mailing item, they have to pay through the mail within a amount of time. Before they can accept the item.
They just need a 3rd neutral party to send to that authorizes the mail. an NPc could do it, and ANet can keep track of that NPC’s records to fix any bugs it makes or to locate scammers. 3 step process could simply be:
1. Player A puts item in and requested amount/item
2. Player B can only put in the requested amount/item and no more/less. Ofc, soul/account bound items cannot be traded here.
3. NPC asks both players to double check the items/offers (via tool tip or look at the numbers) and asks them 1 more time to confirm. → Goes through, record for ANET, scam proof unless player A or B are simply blind.
As for C.O.D, no thank you. We have too many fees as is.
break. I feel like they should be back by now..”

C.O.D isn’t a tax. A tax could be put on it, if Anet wanted too.
I like your idea for normal trades. Be if I wanted to charge someone I know fee for that item (less then TP). I should be able to do so.

The removal of trade spam alone justifies ANET not including a trade window or COD mail. I’ve yet to see any justification for having a trade window that makes sense, except for greedy people who want to avoid the TP fees.

How is COD mail needed to send someone a gift ?

“You might want to sell a item to specific person.”

C.O.D simply means Cash On Delivery. It basically works like in RL postal service where you order an item via mail and when delivered to you home, you have to pay for it before postie will give it to you.
In the game, buyer and seller agree on a price for an item, when seller sends the item he stipulates the agreed price in a now new added section of the gold transfer, called C.O.D. The buyer cannot acquire the sent item until he places the agreed amount of gold in the C.O.D. gold section. Once he does that, he can then get the item sent to him by mail and the gold automatically gets sent to the seller. Transaction complete. This system is in Lotro it works fantastic and its so simple to use. Best alternate trading system ever! I’ve used it tons of times, never had any problems with it.
