Without culling the game kinda feels like a text based rpg. Hidding names option isn’t enough since you’ll see the name of people while they are loading on your screen also enemy in WvW once dead have their name pop back up…

It’d be very nice to have an option to display a symbol instead of a name above player/enemy, different from the dead/down one but it’s the same idea.

It’d be nice to have a symbol above our own character so we can easily find him in the middle of others…

Please free some screen space so we can enjoy the great graphics.

Yeah I have this issue too, I don’t get why we can even target ally while in combat… This makes no sense.

On the subject, so is everyone really enjoying playing like this?

I honestly dont even care about symbols. I just want to see what is on the screen, i want to see what is happening, i want to see the mob we are fighting, the animation that displays what it will do in the next moment, i want to see my target area, overall just the target! These zergfests look like someone put a Matrix-style layer atop of the actual game with all those names and numbers on each other.

Long ago i wanted an option to hide the damage numbers too, since those are kinda distracting as well. But at least those serve some purpose! This simply does not.

Me, when trying to tag one enemy in the middle of a big event with many enemies:
