Females have these two options under “Chin & Jaw”.
Can you give us these two options for males too? AFAIK human, sylvari, norn males are missing these options whereas their female counterparts have them.
It makes all males look alike each other, unlike females where two characters using the same face can actually look like completely different people thanks to all the improved options they have compared to males.
It makes me not get attached to my male character as much as I could, because he looks just like a copy cat of other males… and very stiff too!
Can you give us customization options on par with females?
It would also be nice to give men a more pleasant posture — and animations. Right now when standing they look very surprised as if someone had suddenly stuck a broomstick up their butt. OUCH! It’s very comical. (Not….)
Their legs and arms are very far from their bodies, making it seem as if they’re struggling to carry two buckets of water.
It’s …. weird. Even something simple like crossing their arms would look much better.
The combat animations (at-least for Scholars) are very flat. Go back to Gw1 and play male ritualists, necromancers, mesmers, and elementalists. You’ll see what I mean. In Gw1 mesmers, necromancers and elementalists had a lot more “oomph” to their animations.
While you’re there notice their standing animation. While it’s very simple, it’s also not so flat and stiff/tense like Gw2. It’s more relaxed. His arms are bent a little, and while their legs are also spread apart, they’re not as wide open and also not 100% straightened like Gw2.
I included some screenshots… each profession had different standing and fighting animations.
Since in Gw2 you use the same animations regardless of profession, it’s even easier, you could take all the animations from males in Gw1 and play them in a sequence… the ritualist pose for the first 10 seconds, then change into mesmer pose for the next 13 seconds, necromancer pose for next 8 seconds… and so on.
Take the ritualist fighting animation and use it for spells that take 1 second to cast, give the necromancer animation to spells that take 2 seconds to cast… and so on…
Just an idea.
PS; since all professions could cast spells, even warriors and assassins, you could look at their animations too.
