so alot of gw2 players have been wondering when the name change ability will come… this is including me of course. ive seen alot of posts about it but not one thing has been done to add the feature… so when are we going to see this added? or are we going to ever see this added? devs please dont say soon because you said that over 3 months ago and still nothing has happened…

I agree, I want to know when.

I agree. I am still miffed that my first choice for a name was not allowed yet every day I see characters with a similar name.

tell us are you going to add it or are you not going to add its. its as easy as that. yes or no

A dev in a previous thread mentioned that it will be added, they just didn’t know when. I myself have been waiting months for this feature and I really don’t want to wait another month or more for it. I have two characters that I want to change the names of.

Meanwhile Anet add stuff like plush, social backpacks and new dye colors to the shop – but they neglect the one thing which really matters now in terms of character modification.

It’s the old argument again, Anet, you released a Total Makeover Kit which allowed changing sex of your character, but 2 months later and still counting, there isn’t a name change option?

I feel I’ve been patient now – this feature can HARDLY be that tough to implement seeing as you can force them on names that infract your naming policy – and in addition, you’ve already got the distinction between ACCOUNT name and CHARACTER name so that even though if you change your CHARACTER name, anyone who’s got you in their friend/guild lists, etc. will still see you due to being the same account.

What’s taking so long on this renaming feature?
Please give us some insight, waiting 2-3+ months for a feature that – compared to a lot of the other optional stuff you’ve put out – hardly can take more than a few days of coding max is wearing my patience thin…

its been a long time and they added random kitten to the store that no one even wanted… well some of it anyways. but they cant add the name change… come on guys this is just stupid

Would you give us name change if I gave you a cookie ANet? Since obviously Me being willing to give you my money isn’t a good enough incentive for you… Pretty please?

This was the “huge update” that we’ve been waiting for. I was hoping a Name Contract would be a part of that. Alas, no.

Does this mean we have to watch for the next “big, exciting” update to see this finally added? When will this possibly happen? When can we receive an answer that isn’t so vague?

I would dearly love to see this as well. I have a few names on my toons that I would love to rearrange without having to delete them!

You say you HARDLY think it is that difficult and that it can hardly take more than a few days of coding. May I ask how you know this? Do you know for a fact how the backend works?

If I told you that the devs have already said that this is harder than it looks would you believe it? If you did believe it, would it make any difference?

well they are adding useless crap that no one asks for instead of putting something in that alot of players actually want and or need…

now i may not be a expert at coding but i can tell you it should have been done along time ago!
