Instead of tying one specific mat to a “type” of point in Wvw (Camp, Castle, Keep, Tower) which results in Dragonite being so rare as Keeps rarely flip over to another team, why not randomize the reward instead?

You would get 33.3% chance to get either Bloodstone, Empyreal or Dragonite when completing an objective. When Crystalline will be added (probably for armors), that rate will be reduced at 25%. Each mats will have an equal chance to be looted, but only one at each objective.

Camps would give 3-5 of any (1 type) of T7 mats.
Towers would give 7-10 of any (1 type) of T7 mats
Keeps would give 15-20 of any (1 type) of T7 mats
Castle would give 25-30 of any (1 type) of T7 mats.

That way, everyone could at least get a proportional amount of T7 mats while playing WvW and not end up with 3000 of one type and 50 of another type.

What do you guys think?

I’m pretty sure it is doable and not a too huge change for Anet to make this.

YES! Sorry I didn’t see this suggestion before but I think this should be applied universally throughout the entire game.

EVERY activity should have a random chance of giving EVERY kind of mat, rather than forcing players to do specific activities for specific mats.

Particularly the Empyreal Frags which are unreliable to get through WvW. One can go through a whole night doing important defending fights and never get one. The more reliable option of open world chests is tedious and makes the game feel like a solo grind.

This suggestion would actually allow player to play the way they want. Which was supposed to be one of the core ideas of GW2 I thought.
